Walking home today I came across these pieces of paper stuck to the footpath. I've no idea where they came from, and they don't seem to mean anything in particular.

am receiving 2-4 phone calls every day from Bihar....they express their objections (aapatti) to my article, and tell me that in Bihar it is only CPI(ML) Liberation which is fighting for dalits, workers and adivasis. I am happy to state that these friends making phone calls to me up are dalits. Some of them are Class 1 officers and Ambedkarites. These friends feel that Dalit politicians in Bihar have sold out (dalaali kar rahe hain), the real struggles are beingwaged by CPI(ML) Liberation. I do not disagree. None of the dalit-OBC leaders in Bihar have spoken out against Brahmeshwar Singh. Most of them are JD(U)leaders and ministers in the government. (for the original, see hastakshep.com/?p=21205) .
Actually, reports like that of Gunjan Kumar are inspired by the present Nitish regime in Bihar, which attempts to hide its own Ranveer Sena links by trying in vain to tarnish CPI(ML)s credibility. What is interesting is that the DSU too is speaking the voice of Nitish Kumars hacks. .
Even today, it is AISA and the CPI(ML) which are leading struggles against the atrocious attacks by Ranveer Sena goons on dalit hostels in Ara after Brahmeshwar Singhs murder. A simple question for DSU: Witnesses and survivors from the Bathani Tola massacre came to Delhi in July this year. A Convention was held on 15 July, where they talked about their experiences. Why didnt DSU and other so-called defenders of social justice attend the Convention, meet the survivors, and test the absurd theories they are now propounding in the safe space of GBMs in JNU? Why didnt they come and ask Naeemuddin Ansari (who lost six members of his family) whether ML betrayed the victims of Bathani Tola? .
Of course, we should all remember that while CPI(ML) was resisting the Ranveer Sena, the Maoists in Bihar, in every election, were covertly joining hands with the RJD (while the CPI-CPI(M) did so openly). In Paliganj in 2005, Maoists brutally killed five elected leaders of the CPI(ML) at RJDs behest, all from oppressed and backward communities. And the Maoist murderers were later found hiding in the house of the local RJD MLA. It therefore comes as no surprise that now DSU is shamefully toeing the Nitish line, parroting government-sponsored slander against Liberation! .
Sabyasachi Pandas Recent Revelations on CPI(Maoist) .
A few days back, well-known senior leader of CPI(Maoist), Sabyasachi Panda wrote a 16-page long letter, full of several serious criticisms of the party. He has subsequently been expelled, and has said his life is in danger. Let us take a look at some of his main observations, from the horses mouth: .

Panda has accused the Andhra-Chhattisgarh cadre of the CPI(Maoist) of discriminating against Odisha cadre, adivasis and women. .

He has strongly objected to the Maoist tactics of mindless political annihilation of opponents. Maoists have been killing people without proper investigation.., he observes, adding that five or six villagers from Sambalpur were killed by the party in 2004 after being dubbed informers without any good reason. He also states, They have killed activists and workers from the SUCI, CITU, CPI-ML and even ordinary people without any justifiable reasons. .

Panda also raises questions over financial irregularities within the party, alleging that the Maoist leaders are collecting huge amounts of money from corporate who are actively displacing local population. Of course, none of this is new or surprising news, just that this time it is a well-known leader of the CPI(Maoist) who is substantiating the allegations! .

Most important, Sabyasachi Panda, surely one of the senior-most Maoist leaders today, has even termed some Maoist tactics left adventurist in nature, and criticised the Maoist programme of protracted peoples war, saying Path of revolution must also suit the conditions of the country. PPW (protracted peoples war) is not useful for [our] country just like it was for China. .

We wonder what DSU has to say about Pandas allegations and criticisms? Several people and groups concerned about the left movement have been making similar observations about Maoist tactics, and now a senior Maoist himself is echoing these views! Perhaps, they will sweep these uncomfortable .
