Self reflection is a vulnerable and often uncomfortable practice. Selfreflection requires you to look into your inner workings as much asyour outer form. Through this process we have learned to work withpieces that we have previously considered “failures” in our art practice, creating a new piece that investigates and exposes itself in anuncomfortable and revealing way.
Hmm. I feel that I have a dilemma. I'm a person who likes to process things through writing about them and to a certain extent I've been doing it here on my photostream as well. Now it is time to consider where to draw the line; whether to write about yellow cards and blue lines and things like that. Well, I know quite well where my own line goes considering things I want to share here and with whom, but I'm thinking about you who read this and see the pictures. At what point getting to know other people's personal things gets uncomfortable to the reader/viewer, "oh no I don't want to know!"? Ok, things can be expressed in a more general level too, without getting too much into personal details, but after all, this is mostly about my life. Where goes the line considering things that are difficult to handle and maybe disturbing to a viewer/reader? I think that it is important to express hard things too, even things that are disturbing, but where goes the line? I'm going through some hard times in my life these days and I'm going to process things through my pictures and words, but I'm wondering whether to keep most of it in private or whether to share some of them with you here.

Traveling and exploration are among the most exciting and fulfilling experiences one can have. It allows us to discover new cultures, cuisines, languages, and meet new people. However, it is not just about leisure and pleasure, as traveling and exploration can also teach us valuable life lessons. In this article, we will explore what traveling and exploration teach us and how they can help us grow and become better individuals.
The Importance of Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone
One of the most significant lessons that traveling and exploration teach us is the importance of stepping out of our comfort zone. When we travel to a new place, we are forced to adapt to new environments, cultures, and people. This experience can be uncomfortable at first, but it teaches us to embrace change and become more adaptable.
Appreciating Different Cultures
Traveling and exploration expose us to different cultures, customs, and traditions. By experiencing these cultures firsthand, we can gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for them. We learn to respect and celebrate differences instead of fearing or rejecting them.
Developing a Sense of Empathy
When we travel, we interact with people from all walks of life, many of whom are very different from ourselves. This experience allows us to develop a sense of empathy and compassion for others. We learn to see the world through different perspectives and appreciate the struggles and challenges that others face.
