In the Machine Learning Studio, visitors can use computer vision and machine learning applications to discover how machines learn and perceive their environment. Working with tech trainers, they can build and train self-driving model cars here, program robots with facial recognition, and gain insights into how they can teach these devices a wide variety of activities. Step-by-step, they can experience not only how these technologies function, but also that everything the machines know is determined by us.

It is an open testbed for academic and industry researchers to rapidly test self-driving and connected vehicle technologies at Mcity, a world-class proving ground for advanced mobility vehicles operated by U-M's Mobility Transformation Center. The Lincoln will be joined by two Kia Souls equipped as open CAVs in coming months.

Google is testing the self driving car in our area. We see them driving everywhere.

Google advertised for drivers in our area and job applicants were required to have a college degree and be able to write extensive reports over an 8 hour shift.

Driverless Vehicle (with a driver) - I saw three of these today in Tempe. I understand Uber is sending them to pickup select customers on a trial basis. All three cars were on Mill Avenue in Tempe. Pretty amazing they can navigate streets better than many real drivers. Distracted driving is taken off the table.

Out in front of home base, in fact; must be visiting the neighbours.

I was grabbing coffee and saw the Google self driving car parked nearby. There was a guy who got into the drivers seat, but I couldn't tell if the car was driving itself or not. Very late to posting to my 52 weeks.

The Detroit Motor City Self-Driving Cars 101 event hosted University of Michigan students from TechLab at City and the Entrepreneurs Leadership Program. The panel of speakers represented, May Mobility, Prentice 4M, Mcity, and !Important Technologies.

Gleneagle Secondary student Kelvin Zhang is an incredible innovator with serious smarts. He loves using artificial intelligence to solve real-world problems. Most recently he's focussed in on the technology of self-driving cars.
