Spindle (so named because the wood was used to make spindles) makes a fantastic hedge plant (or small tree in a hedge) because of its unique fall color scheme. In autumn we can enjoy the opening flaps of the fruits, from which orange seeds emerge. The berries are poisonous but the birds love them!!
For Macro Mondays - Layers
A seed on one of our Pittosporum trees. The seed pods are approximately 1/2 inch in diameter and I like the way the seeds are layered inside the pod.

A seed stand I picked earlier. It has been left to dry, but I don't remember which flower it belonged to. Such a shame, such a shame

Dandelion Seed
Somehow it became attached to one of the canes on our grape vine. Yes, I know, the vine should be pruned and ready for rolling on by now. It will be done in the next week!
