We arrived in London after a quite pleasant flight from the US. We had wonderful seats in front of a bulkhead (nobody in front of us and lots of leg room) and we slept for a healthy chunk for the trip. British Airways was the was to go, for sure. So polite...
At Heathrow Airport, everything was a strange blend of "1984" and "Dr. Who." A weird retro-futurism prevailed in the decor. Security cameras were positively everywhere. Not just at Heathrow, either - - all across London.
When this shot was taken, we were waiting in line to have our passports stamped for arrival in the UK. This room was off to the side.
Health Control? Bells? Flashing lights? This is a joke, right? Good thing I didn't have a cold.
Central London. A curious name, but I haven't been able to find out its origin. This was taken from Maltravers Street, not far from Temple tube station.
