When we ran a Post Office, pens and pencils were forever going walkabout! The supplies department would send us these toppers that would be affixed to these items, hopefully to stop them disappearing constantly!

Or at least they seem to hone in on me like a heat seeking missile. So here's a quick one from the hip before I was taken out in a precision strike.

I thought I had more focus than I actually did here, unfortunately when I rectified that it’s head was hidden so I went with this one.

Great thanks to Julie for finding it for me for without her I would never spot something like this :^)

I had a wander around London today and couldn't resist the way the light was playing on this security guard.

Photo taken outside the Globe Theatre.

This Currawong was on watch, making sure everything was safe.

I found a very nice dark window in the Moorgate area of London. Sadly the security noticed me straightaway and gave me the evil stare! I hung around just enough to get 3 shots and to annoy them further. Shortly after, they discreetly ushered me away. Cat and Mouse springs to mind. I don't usually post up 3 pictures at a time, but this make a nice mini series. Also a chance to use the nifty fifty prime, which makes you use your feet, rather than rely on a zoom.

Since the recent attacks in the UK a visible presence of armed Police has sadly become the norm...however, the Police are as much as possible trying to allay fears especially with children.....they are making a good job of this as seen in this image.

Seville Santa Justa Train Station - Seville(Sevilla) Spain. I had no tripod so the ISO is a little high on this photo, but with the D610 it still did a pretty good job capturing the detail.

I shot of a lock on a very old gate. The lock made for an interesting shot against the old fence.

Night time photo of a convenience store on the south side of Houston Texas. I am experimenting with how my photos look when I use the highest ISO setting (16000) on my camera. Photo was taken with a Canon 80D with a 18-135 mm lens, with some post-processing.

What's this- me adding additional light!? It just doesn't seem proper.

It was a very, very dark night by the time we had retreated halfway down the building. To get a sense of the room at all, the ever handy Michael did some light painting with my (rapidly overheating) torch. At the sea-facing side of the building we felt safe to create light. At the 'front' side however, we hid in the darkness as we realised we were in full view of a lady looking out of her window. Please don't call the police!, I hoped.

These wide windows were rather oppressive in the standard rooms but here (not sure what this room was) the open space made great use of an entire wall of windows. The landscape stretched out all the way across - it was really interesting.
