New Season 3 Ahsoka
As most of us know, next week's episode of the clone wars features "growing up" Ahsoka. Her face marks have gotten longer. She is no longer wearing her old gloves, they now look like biker gloves. And she also appears to have a necklace of some sort around her neck. Her tails have also gotten long and filled out. AND, as if this wasn't awesome enough, she will also be wielding double lightsabers, one shorter than the other. She is becoming a beautiful young Togruta woman! :D

slung around his neck. He's been
in countless movies that show
the Angeleno beachscape - and one video
game - and a famous mural
on a wall in Venice. And still he
skates along. Have known
him and photographed him for
about twenty years - he's as
much a part of this scene
as the ocean and the
fortune-tellers.
What would an occult initation into the Dark Arts be without goggles?
My mom and I found these at a flea market on Satruday. We were told they are Odd Fellows initiation or voting glasses. Each pair includes blinders, red lenses,black lenses and a small container for secret votes and/or passwords.

A bit late in collating the facts but nevertheless here they are -

1 - I'm a man of few words
(how I wish I could stop here!)
2 - Random things I like: freedom, peace, black, blue, white, craziness, creativity, simplicity, honesty, originality, sincerity, scrabble, chess, music, movies, adventure, Garfield, the dark knight, humor, etc.
3 - Random things I dislike: hypocrites, rules, politics, obsession, nagging, studies, boredom...
4 - I'm very good at multi-tasking
5 - Bad in remembering names but good with numbers,
so if you happen to know me chances are I'll remember your birth date, your phone number
and most probably forget your name! (I'm working hard to rectify this problem)
6 - Been a mischievous kid, in fact I was even officially elected too in my school days!
7 - Inspite being mischievous and low on memory cells, I happened to be reasonably qualified : B.E + MBA (which means I can actually read and right write!)
8 - I used to be a voracious reader, don't have enough patience nowadays
maybe one day I'll publish my own book
9 - Planning to travel the world, have started with my country first
10 - I'm a foodie, got amazing set of taste buds!
(if you can cook good, we can be a great team!)
11 - I suffer from myopia
(that's why you don't see me shoot distant objects!)
12 - Dreamt of being a Superhero/ Fighter pilot/ F-1 driver/ movie director/ rockstar when I grow up
(I've realized I haven't grown up yet!)
13 - Honestly, I don't know much of photography (you must've figured this by now!)

From San Francisco to Tokyo in just under three hours with a ten-minute stop in Hawaii, via the new TRANS-ORIENT-EXPRESS, a project planned by enginneers and scientists in a project sponsored by private entrepeneurs in the two nations of Japan and the United States. Entirely devoid of national publicity, the project was discovered by Earl R. Stonebridge last week while engaged in conversation in a cocktail lounge just south of Laguna Beach, California. In an exclusive interview with USA TOMORROW, Earl stated that he was ''...totally shocked when he heard of the concept and ordered a round of soft beverages for everyone in the establishment. ''Most of the customer weren't interested in any 'stinkin' soft drinks,'' Earl stated, ''but my Japanese friends offered to make the free beverages either soft or alcoholic, thus creating a more pleasant environment,'' Earl continued. ''Like how often does one learn something of this nature and not get excited. I mean, really, it didn't dawn on me to offer alcoholic beverages because I didn't want to be held responsible for anyone walking out onto the beach and tripping over a sand castle and end up with a stinkin' lawsuit.''
I was asked many times during the parade how I make the arms move. People kept looking for puppet strings. There are no strings, the arm pivots up at the shoulder joint when I pull down on a wire attached to the top of the arm. The elbow, wrist and finger joints are made springy using heavy piano wire. The harness rests on my shoulders and is cut from sheet metal padded with a covering of black duct tape. No straps are needed, it is good to be able to get in and out of costumes quickly.
The arms are relatively light weight, and are padded especially well at the fingertips. It would be easy enough to hit someone in the face, especially in the crowded pre-parade participant cattle pen. Also for safety, this time mine, the shoulder joints are designed to come off and not drag me with them if they get grabbed by something or someone dangerous.
The feet were attached to my black sneakers with elastic. The one on the right still has the litter it gathered from the parade route stuck to it.

That top item was quite important. For awhile there it was nearly impossible to get back out of the box once in, and that would have been deadly if my costume caught on fire, or embarrassing if I had to pee very badly.
To this day I like to end my to-do lists with "add Luke"
Here's a peek into the intricacies of the creative process. I know it looks like it says "bonx," or maybe "borx," but it wants to say "box." Underneath bonx, the other half of the plan is revealed: "bucket."
I did not label the piece in the bottom left, but it is the Back Connector Side. This should be pretty self explanatory for anyone who's ever put together even the simplest of pod racers.
Now we're cooking. All of these numbers are in American inches - not those crazy British inches. The numbers with the " after them are the sizes in the notebook here. Those in the ()s after that are scaled up by the 7.58x scaling factor noted in the bottom right corner. I know I wrote scale=7.58", but you can imagine that I meant scale=7.58x.
This is almost the same image as the one before it, only with less useless info. One of these numbers appears to say 115". It does not.
It was impossible to dress in the costume without following this list's order exactly. Have fun clomping to your own party and crushing all the rebels therein.
Obviously the unlabled part in the bottom right is the Head Front. The bottom left is a hyper-real perspective sketch that attempts to solve for you the length of the base of the open trapezoid created between the rear edges of the top and sides. This may or may not be accurate.

12pm: other arm (probably that means the right arm)
This list is pretty typical until you get to that last, nearly impossible last line: "little Hoth Luke figure w/ cable." I can't believe I actually found him at the first comic shop I found.
