I remember this shoot being difficult, for a few reasons. One, it wasn't easy to get Griggs on that pole, I had to boost him up. Secondly, the lighting was really harsh, so we had to wait for a cloud to come and block the sun for just a few minutes while I expanded. And also, it is never easy to expand an ocean. But over all this shoot was really fun. And Griggs and I had to hide my jeep behind a bush because everywhere around the beach entrance, aside from walking a mile away, was "no parking".

Here's the Liv® doll body next to Barbie's body.
Their measurements are close enough that they can share a lot of clothes, although the Liv body's obviously shorter. (The height is more like the 2006 "hobbit" Barbie body.)

During a long exposure Elvis accidentally bumped the tripod. The result is interesting. Looks a bit like letters overlaying the photograph. Perhaps there's a secret message written in the street lights. Made with a Sony A7rii and a Zeiss Batis 25mm lens. 30 second exposure at ISO 100 and f/9. For more go to www.elviskennedy.com
The concept for this failed, so I had to make do.
Not really happy with it, but this sort of thing happens in a 365 I suppose.

He and I decided to put together a series called "War through the Ages". The purpose is to capture the horror, destruction, and particularly, the emotion of war. What it does to people. How it changes them. What they go through when they are fighting.
2. I am currently a month behind on my 365, so every photo I have posted and will post, was shot a month ago. And starting from this photo, every shot was shot with a Canon with everything completely equal to my Nikon. I wanted to test which brand I preferred. I will reveal which brand I chose in a month.

It is not easy to tie yourself to a try and on top of that take a picture.
Not a fan of this to be honest.
But a 365 project is about making mistakes. So you can learn. And I think I would be way too hard on myself if I couldn't accept a bad day.

I got these Russian dolls and they are so cute I decided to draw one of them. I was translating a secret message from English to Russian using some online translator. Those who can read Russian will find out what it means :)

Kitchen Macro Alphabet for HNC project.
Available as A1 canvas or cropped 16" x 12" fine art paper print.
The 26 letters of the alphabet are set out here as if they are keys on a keyboard. The remaining four keys are 'right', 'left", "up", and "down" arrows.
The sky was overcast yesterday before the storm, and casting cool shadows on the salt marshes in Eastham. I liked the way the reflections of the reeds and grasses make it look like there is a secret message written among them. Who knows, there might just be. ;)
Messages are easier to read in light box.
Pretty happy to be posting daily (or more than that at the moment) again

An Enigma machine is any of a family of related electro-mechanical rotor machines used for the encryption and decryption of secret messages. The first Enigma was invented by German engineer Arthur Scherbius at the end of World War I.[1] This model and its variants were used commercially from the early 1920s, and adopted by military and government services of several countries—most notably by Nazi Germany before and during World War II.[2] A range of Enigma models were produced, but the German military model, the Wehrmacht Enigma, is the version most commonly discussed.
The machine has become well-known because, during World War II, Polish and British codebreakers were able to decrypt a vast number of messages which had been enciphered using the Enigma. The intelligence gleaned from this source, codenamed ULTRA by the British, was a substantial aid to the Allied war effort. The exact influence of ULTRA on the course of the war is debated; an oft-repeated assessment is that decryption of German ciphers hastened the end of the European war by two years.[3][4][5]
Though the Enigma cipher had cryptographic weaknesses, in practice it was only in combination with other factors (procedural flaws, operator mistakes, occasional captured hardware and key tables, etc.) that those weaknesses allowed Allied cryptographers to cryptanalyze so many messages.

Woke up to the song this morning and wondered, what is it my tea leaves are saying?

This lovely necklace features a vintage skeleton key (2.5 inches), accented by a message in a bottle (1 inch). The key and bottle hang off an an antiqued bronze chain that measures 25 inches. The necklace closes with a lobster clasp.
