"I can only be what God can see..."

Title, words and song by Paul Weller- "Sea Spray"

A long exposure, landscape image of the rocky coastline of Portknockie in Morayshire, Scotland, at low tide and sunset.

Collage made from my pic of the beach at St.Lucia in KZN province, with pd png gulls.

The aftermath of a February storm at marloes in pembs, UK; the whole beach was covered in sea foam. The beach is distinctive because of it's sharp rocky outcrops. This dates back to 2017, and is from a batch that I haven't processed until now as I'd lost them on an old hard drive.

Fraserburgh - "The Broch" - is precisely on the corner of the north east of Scotland where the North Sea becomes the Moray Firth. The winds and tides can be extreme...

Thank you so much everyone for all your thoughtful, wonderful and kind comments. I cannot convey really how much your support means to me - but please believe it is possibly and most probably more than you will ever know…Sue x

It was lovely to see the return of this winter visitor at Lepe on the south coast.

Thank you all for your kind responses.

We were supposed to be hiking but no one would venture out in the crazy winds so I wandered the beach alone. There was an iceberg in the distance and crashing waves but what I loved most was the sea spray on my face, salty and cold. It all sort of makes me feel alive and as I sit behind a desk today....this is where my head will be.

Happy Wednesday all!

Taken at the beach just before the clouds cleared.

A rare thing to see waves crashing on the sea wall in Erdek, Turkey, during the summer...

Capturing the Sunset at Holywell Bay, Cornwall

We went down to the beach to check out the wild weather. It was fortunate that some sun peaked through to illuminate the waves. The white water was crazy and it was lucky it was blowing away from me.

Storm approaching a rocky Cornish beach at Dollar Cove The Lizard

I've struggled with motivation recently, not really sure why but having been inspired by a photographer I rate highly, it was time to get myself out for a sunrise

The sunrise didn't quite materialise in the usual fashion but by were the waves a little rough.

We had a good laugh when being caught out by the biggest wave, not only did it fill our wellies to the brim, it soaked me up to the bum lol!

Needless to say it was rather cold.

I totally enjoyed todays excursion and hopefully came away with a few keepers. I tried a few different things and of course being by the sea, always makes me feel at home

I've never really seen waves pounding the pier like this before

and I had to constantly clean the lens

Woolacombe Beach, North Devon, UK.

Definitely not like this today at Lyme Regis, if it wasn't the 40mph gusts keeping me cool the Seaspray certainly did.

Today it's probably 32c and a millpond sea.

I could not resist working on a mono version of this image. When taking the photograph, I felt the scene would look best in black & white......hope you like it.

With the impact of Avian Flu, this could so easily be a rare site in the near future.

I'm posting this one again, it seems that I finally got affected by the badly working algorithm too, and I feel bad for my sponsors.

The aesthetics of black rocks and black sand in contrast with the sea is so gorgeous! It takes me back to the north coast of my island. The sea is too wild and the seaspray so dense, that wouldn't be possible to live that close (not allowed by law) and the windows wouldn't look that nice.

But in SL we can dream! so anytime I can I rezz my houses by or in the sea. Scarlet Creative's Barcelona Beach cabin, is minimal, beautiful and stylish, so much glass, I thought it could pair very nicely with Fancy Decor's Larsen set for Fameshed this month. Keeping it simple, clean, modern, using monochromes to connect with the blacks and greys of the rocks and letting the sea and the dracaenas to finish the job ❤

The seas are rough today. We're underway in the North Atlantic during the winter. This is in the trough of a 60 foot swell looking up at the crest. The bull nose just popped up after taking dip. It was rough for three days before the storm eased. At times the main deck had three to four foot waves rolling down it. This particular swell the helmsman took slightly off the port bow. This is the view from the bridge thru the sea spray. This was an epic storm and I wouldn't have missed it. Another photo from the shoebox. I don't think there is anything prettier then beach rocks covered in sea spray....colour and shape more clearly revealed in its raw form. And yeah...I know they are rocks but my inner nerd loves some good geological stuff.

Happy Friday lovelies!
