London, UK, 1843.
"Scrooge, having his key in the lock of the door, saw in the knocker, without its undergoing any intermediate process of change—not a knocker, but Marley’s face.
Marley’s face. It was not in impenetrable shadow as the other objects in the yard were, but had a dismal light about it, like a bad lobster in a dark cellar. It was not angry or ferocious, but looked at Scrooge as Marley used to look: with ghostly spectacles turned up on its ghostly forehead. The hair was curiously stirred, as if by breath or hot air; and, though the eyes were wide open, they were perfectly motionless. That, and its livid colour, made it horrible; but its horror seemed to be in spite of the face and beyond its control, rather than a part of its own expression.
As Scrooge looked fixedly at this phenomenon, it was a knocker again." (Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol, 1843)

Enjoy!
This interesting little home reminded me that it could be the residence of Ebenezer Scrooge. Seen in Carver, MA Edeville Railroad village
This is what happens when the boss

executives can all take a cruise.
Thankful to have a job? You bet!
It'd just be nice to get a little recognition of
the 100+ hour work week we turn in.
This year's office party is gonna be LIIIITTT!!
Mr Ebenezer Scrooge, a truly photogenic figure, seen at the Dickens Festival in Deventer, Overijssel, The Netherlands. He truly excelled in his performance as a grumpy old man and
had a critical manner of speaking.
Humbug!

This was my entry for our Wakering Photography Group December’s 10” X 8” printed challenge, the theme being “Candle/Candles”
My friend Dave Sutton was kind enough to pose for me as Ebenezer Scrooge.
I collected the props I needed with the help of my friend Dave Denby who kindly 3D printed the candle stick holder.
I was really pleased with the outcome, I thought the time effort and location culminated in a realistic scene.
Nothing ever tasted better
Than those times my dad and I
Would dress up freshly picked tomatoes
In fashionable hats made out of feta.
Our days were rainbows of balloons
we'd blow them up with giggles,
and a thousand pretty wishes
And all I ever wanted
was allowed.
Oh, mom's adoring eyes...
She'd fill
With me
Her every sun and moon...
Her every blink vibrated what I could be
Her life was always breathed into mine
And no one else again will ever be her.
I hold on tight, too tight...
I'm scared to be grateful for this love
Because I'd have to think
of what I'd lose...
I'm rich with it... but then, so Scrooge-ly stingy
'Cause should I ever fall from their arms
I'll fall down very,
very
hard.
And die.

I have to say that I can't stand these period dramas that they have on the TV, Whether based on Dickens or Jane Austen or whoever. I know that they are literary classics & I should be enthralled.... but they just leave me utterly bored. The only thing that is good about them is the wonderful selection of hats you see in them.
TOTW - Inspired by Hats !
Shot at the Highlands Ranch Holiday Celebration, Highlands Ranch Mansion. This is one of the school choirs being introduced by Scrooge. The color version was giving me fits because of the stage lighting so I slid it into b/w and applied a pencil sketch effect. I do miss his bright red scarf, though. I might do another version in color at some point.
Happy Sliders Sunday! : )
A wealthy duck who appears in various Disney media. This moc was inspired by the Disney series two collectible minifigures that were recently announced. His beak uses the Boba Fett shoulder pads and his head feathers use the key wings from 4704 Chamber of the Winged Keys, an old and laughably outdated set from 2001.
An instructional breakdown of this moc is featured in Blocks Magazine issue 61.
Scrooge McDuck appears in 1947. In 1952 he got his own comic book series which is still running. I guess since this time he is counting his money.
Whatever the amount of his money is, Scrooge never considers it to be enough. He believes that he has to continue to earn money by any means possible. A running gag is Scrooge always making profit on any business deal.
He keeps the majority of his money in a massive Money Bin overlooking the city of Duckburg.
Since the first time I saw the Disney minifigures I wanted to build something with them. For every fig I had an idea of a small vignette. Now, that the year is almost over, I finally have the time to have a look on that list again...

Turns out all groundhogs don't appreciate groundhog day. Take old Scrooge here for example, He lives in WY not PA and will probably sleep the whole holiday anyway. As for me: Happy Ground Hog Day! I do hope he see his shadow, however, we need more snow here!
Groundhog is another name for a marmot They are also called rockchucks, woodchucks, and whistle pigs. The last name comes from the loud whistle or "scream" they make when alarmed. Scrooge is a yellow-bellied marmot ( Marmota flaviventris) from Yellowstone National Park.

Having build Donald and Daisy I just had to build "the richest Duck in the world" as well! That's of course Donald's uncle: Scrooge McDuck.
Scrooge McDuck was created by artist Carl Barks who happens to be one of my most favourite artists. His cartoons are just brilliant!
I had a blank space on my kitchen wall and decided to fill it with a LEGO mosaic of one of my favorite characters of all time, Scrooge McDuck. Now life is like a hurricane here in my kitchen!
Shrewsbury was used as a location for the 1980's George C Scott version of a Christmas Carol, and his gravestone's still here.
