Steamtown itself is a no-drone zone but I can at least peer in from a distance.

DL 4068 RS3 was built for the D&H in 1952. Bridge 60 tower is in the background.

4/2020 - Scranton, PA

Their small train assembled, DLWR 1804 pulls by the tower and starts its journey toward Slatford.

After watching the crew change out their lead unit from 3643 to the 3000 we headed out to set up for our first shot. We were surprised by these units headed to Carbondale which arrived before our train to our surprise.

4/2023 - Scranton, PA

DLW's Scranton station was built in 1908 to replace a much smaller station. Today you can spend the night here under the Radisson name. I've used other hotels nearby but never this one. Going to have to change that sometime.

For a short while before Conrail, the very aging EL F unit fleet gathered in Scranton and Binghamton

Three Ex Erie EMD's are at Scranton Pa. on 10-06-1977.GP7 5984 was 1246,NW2 9219 was 412, and NW2 9226 was 419.Could not make out the last switcher #,looks looks like first # is an 8. Howard Kent Jr. photo.

One of these days I'll actually visit and ride a trolley here.

There were a lot of these old shipping crates with the Scranton Lace logos on them either intact or in pieces. This one was unique in that it was busted but the logo was still recognizable.

Delaware Lackawanna's PT98 assembles its train in Scranton, under the shadow of the large former Lackawanna RR station. Long devoid of passenger train traffic, the building survives today as a Radison hotel.

I'm ending my short series of my D-L SC-7 adventure with this shot of them as they return for Scranton as seen from the overpass at Childs, PA looking toward Mayfield. What a sight this must have been 70 years earlier with the D&H and NYO&W taking up most of the Valley with tracks loaded with hopper cars of black diamonds.

Dynamic Brake equipped GP9 at Scranton Pa. on 07-22-1973. Living on the east end of the EL in Bergen County NJ it was a rare occasion seeing any of these down our way. Built for the Erie in 06-1956, packing 1,750 horsepower, and looking sharp for a 17 year old loco. Howard Kent Jr.

This image was amazed me with its timing! I thought that I was late when I just arrived, but the clouds suddenly reflects the sunshine, which gives a little bit of the light that helps me to ended up with this wonderful shot! I hope you like it! It was taken at Scranton Lake , Pennsylvania USA.

On gloomy Wednesday morning, DL 4068 was tasked with working Valley in South Scranton. Here the local DL BR-1 crew shoves a handful of loads into the clear of the industry lead. Valley Distribution is a type of paper recycling facility that gets big T Box cars a couple of times a week.
