As I was driving home from work on I-75 Wednesday afternoon I had the radio on and heard Q542 calling signals and thought the conductor was saying 'lead engine CSX 852'. I was just going to continue on home but took the next exit to the tracks anyways telling myself, 'why not, its a nice day'. Not long after I got to the Etowah River did Q542 come around the curve with the CSX #8052 leading. Score!
"And the songbirds are singing, like they know the score....
and I love you
I love you, I love you
Like never before..."\
The young Elegant Terns seem to have more misses than scores.

Macro Mondays 'nine' theme.
I didn't remember to take a shot for this theme until last night, and as you can tell, I didn't have a moment of inspired creativity!
Each scrabble tile measures 2cm, so I think with the slight overlap of each one this just fits the group size requirements.

Walking on sand's for fools
'Cause when the wind blows it moves
So darling let's dig deep
There's diamonds beneath our feet
Don't catch the moon for me
Don't tame the raging sea
Don't need to wish on stars
We don't have to reach that far
Everything's right where we are
But sometimes it hurts
To know what it's worth
So we gotta dig deep
To the diamonds beneath our feet
There's plenty for the both of us, may the best Dwarf win!
Minifigs are not my specialty by any means, so getting the posing right on these was certainly a worthy challenge for me.

It seemed as if everything was made of cotton wool
The fluffy world of gentility, sunlight and play
Last night it fooled me into a false sense of healthy security
For the night can be a devil in it's sleep; For a price it can never pay
Movement ceased the second it exerted the pressure of obscurity
Now the spasms of anger fail, into the empty casket of a heart no longer full
A crater where pain erupted beyond the means of safety
Is home to a numbness lost to the touch it'll never feel
I don't want it to be, no I don't, but my mind is ignored
By the very muscles it taught how to deal
Oh this life and world so brutal, it can but be deplored
The failings of heart have beaten me from diagnoses racked with anxiety
At the first stroke adrenalin was felt heating the pain
At the second, uneasy breathlessness toiled and dallied with death
By the third, the struggle was over, as the air settled upon my battlefield dust
Realisation dawned before sunrise, with a dreaded shortage of breath
That a struggle can be as good as sign, for survival is a must
Though many things shall never be the same again
Mild is the Autumn weather that dictated a stroke shall befall my last leaves
That some should remain is but a blessing of thanks
On my behalf they shall shimmer and glow before that mighty storm-surging throe
Should take an age to wipe away a vestige of Nature's ranks
Be it me, be it you, today feels like there's nothing remaining below
My feet can no longer walk, nor feel; just a tiptoe in the dark for those health-seeking thieves
Taken from me an ability so normal yet now so very far
No matter, it's fait accompli, for I awoke just too late
The night was busy under cover of darkness relinquishing Souls
To the perils of recuperation when daylight would reveal their fate
Pity, the more's the merrier some said of scoring successive own goals
What does life mean after all, it's just completely perplexing damn it, how bizarre!
