It's always a treat to welcome the day with beautiful light. As the sun appeared over the Smoky Mountains and filled the valley, the morning fog of Cades Cove acted as a giant diffuser for the warm light and a lovely backdrop for my two favorite trees. Throughout the week I watched as their branches shed the leaves of the previous season, soon to begin the next cycle.

Just wanted to try out HDR in Photoshop. Experimenting here and there, you know.

Aaand it looks pretty close to something achievable with ReShade's "Ambient Light" shader (*GemFX shader pack).

My customer Paula's kids have some souped up Scion cars. I took a photo of three of them the other day when at her property. They've done a nice job on building these up.

The Toyota iQ is a transverse engined, front-wheel-drive city car that was manufactured by Toyota and marketed in a single generation for Japan (2008–2016), Europe (2008–2015), and North America (2012–2015) where it was marketed as the Scion iQ. A rebadged variant was marketed in Europe as the Aston Martin Cygnet (2009–2013).

A Young Man Being Introduced to the Seven Liberal Arts, also known as Lorenzo Tornabuoni Presented by Grammar to Prudentia and the other Liberal Arts or Lorenzo Tornabuoni Being Introduced to the Liberal Arts (Italian: Giovane Introdotto tra le Arti Liberali), is a painting by the Italian Renaissance painter Sandro Botticelli, circa 1483–1486. The painting and its companion piece, Venus and the Three Graces Presenting Gifts to a Young Woman, originally decorated Villa Lemmi, a country villa near Florence owned by Giovanni Tornabuoni, uncle of Lorenzo de' Medici and head of the Roman branch of the Medici Bank. They were probably commissioned for the 1486 wedding of Giovanni's son Lorenzo to Giovanna of the Albizzi family, and are therefore thought to depict the two.

A Young Man Being Introduced to the Seven Liberal Arts depicts a young man, perhaps Lorenzo Tornabuoni, led by a personification of Grammar into a circle of allegorical figures representing the Seven Liberal Arts. Presided over by Prudentia, the circle also includes Rhetoric, Logic, Arithmetic, Geometry, Astronomy and Music, each recognizable by means of various attributes. In antiquity, the liberal arts denoted the education worthy of a free person and the painting therefore testifies to the young man's broad education. The figure of Arithmetic is seen holding its hand out in greeting to the young man. Tornabuoni, a scion to a banking family, would have probably had an education focused on numbers.

Both paintings were discovered at Villa Lemmi in 1873 under a coat of whitewash and removed from their original location. They are now in the Musée du Louvre, Paris.

By now, hunger and heat began taking their toll as general fatigue began to set in. So rather than intercept at each grade crossing, we decided the next place was the very tiny town of Sciota, population 60. Despite it's size, it was home to a giant grain elevator complex. The railroad is the reason why the elevator exists, and the elevator is the reason why the town exists. And it is still served by rail today.

With only one rail crossing to the town, the number of railfans still giving chase that had descended upon the town lining the narrow shoulder must have been a site to behold. Some even climbed on the hoods of their vehicles to make room for everyone to have a shot here. Meanwhile, truckers going to and from the elevator complex passed us all by with a puzzled look.

I shot this last year as a feature for Drivenmotive but never got the chance to put them up. The amount of precision and work that Mike put into this car is absolutely amazing. If you ever get the chance to see Mike in person, stop by and say hi. You won't be disappointed with him or what he's done with this Scion.

The thing is that even when using one-"prebuilt" preset in editing multiple pictures it's almost impossible to make them look "identical" in terms of, say, colors (as one might want them look to, specifically, when creating a set of images of the same car).

It's because POV varies, as weather and sky (ambient) light, too. Sometimes it's better to mask unwanted "reddish" tint of the road while sacrificing sky color, or car color, etc.

The Scion tC is a compact car manufactured by Toyota under its Scion brand from 2004 to 2016 over two generations: ANT10 (2004–2010) and AGT20 (2011–2016). The tC was introduced first in the United States in 2005 and then, beginning with the second generation in 2010, in Canada as well.

The name tC stands for "touring coupe." Beginning in 2011, the tC is sold as the Toyota Zelas in the Middle East, China and South America, a name derived from "zelante", Italian for "passionate" or "zealous."
