The annual Friends of the Sciences Reception was hosted on Saturday, October 19, 2019, from 10-11 a.m. in McGlothlin-Street Hall Atrium. Current students and professors mingled with visitors showing off their award-winning research.
On behalf of iLearn STEAM Crew, I would like to congratulate the participants of the 6th Annual North Jersey Science Olympiad. This year’s 300 Olympians worked in 20 teams to complete 14 challenges in science, technology, engineering and problem solving. It was a wonderful tournament with full of energy and enthusiasm. The four highest scoring teams were awarded trophies and individual students received 1st to 6th place medals.

Sep 22 four student volunteers from the Physics Dept’s Outreach Group joined the Chemistry Dept’s Outreach Group for “An Evening of Science” in front of the French Science Building. Using demonstrations, the students explained two topics they learned in mechanics, Newton’s 3rd Law and Waves.
The inaugural COSI Science Festival was held May 1-4, 2019. More than 100 events took place in central Ohio communities for the first three days of the COSI Science Festival sparking curiosity in people of all ages! On the last day, the COSI Science Festival culminated with the Big Science Celebration held outside COSI on the Scioto Peninsula.
KILKENNY - Monday, 2nd November 2015 - The annual Science Foundation Ireland Science Summit begins today in Kilkenny. Taking place over two-days (2th-3th November) with the theme For Whats Next, the summit provides a platform for 300 members of Irelands research community to discuss Irelands science policy, programmes and progress. The summit will feature keynote speakers including Mr Chris Lewicki, President and Chief Engineer at Planetary Resources, a USA based asteroid mining company whose vision is to do the impossible now by developing a space economy through Asteroid mining.
Culminating a semester of research and programming, five teams of computer science students put their robots on display at the second annual RoboShow.

The history of the bicycle in a display on entry to the Science Museum, a short distance up from the V&A and Natural History Museum. I first visited London for a week when I was about 14 and spent an entire week in this one small block of museums. They are still all free, which was wonderful as a child.
