One of the primary purposes of laser scanning is to verify existing conditions on a job site. We have placed the point cloud files that were generated from the laser scan into the design model. The main focus; verify the dimension and placement of any existing conditions to remain are accurate.
With the click of a button we can compare the existing point cloud scan against the new design, and not just for the architectural design. The teal information in some of these images is the proposed mechanical design. In some locations the clearance to get this proposed ductwork in-between the existing beams and columns is less than a half inch.

This composite image looking toward the higher regions of Mount Sharp was taken on September 9, 2015, by NASA's Curiosity rover. In the foreground -- about 2 miles (3 kilometers) from the rover -- is a long ridge teeming with hematite, an iron oxide. Just beyond is an undulating plain rich in clay minerals; and just beyond that are a multitude of rounded buttes, all high in sulfate minerals. The changing mineralogy in these layers of Mount Sharp suggests a changing environment in early Mars. All of the layers were exposed to water billions of years ago. The Curiosity team hopes to be able to explore these diverse areas in the months and years ahead. Further back in the image are striking, light-toned cliffs that may have formed in drier times and now is heavily eroded by winds.
The colors are adjusted so that the rocks look approximately as they would if they were on Earth, to help geologists interpret the rocks.

Dreyfuss + Blackford Architecture’s design for the Powerhouse Science Center re-envisions a historic riverfront structure as a hub for science education, exploration and promotion in the City of Sacramento. On the banks of the Sacramento River, the Science Center grows out from an abandoned power station building. As a principal component of the Riverfront activation, the Powerhouse Science Center anchors Robert T. Matsui Waterfront Park and borders the southern terminus of the 32-mile American River Bike Trail.
Vacant for over half a century, the structure undergoes a complete historic rehabilitation and the construction of a new floor level inside. A new two-story addition projects from the east side, containing a lobby, classrooms, offices and a cafe. A 110-seat planetarium is prominently on display with a zinc-clad hemispheric dome rising above the building’s mass. As representation of our place in the universe, the facade and building mass is sectioned by multiple planes, creating continuous vector lines that extend across the building and site. From satellites to world landmarks, the lines form connections with local and global points of interest.
The original PG&E Power Station B was designed in 1912 in the Beaux Arts Style by architect Willis Polk and was formally closed in 1954. It is on the National Register of Historic Places, California Register of Historic Places and the Sacramento Register of Historic & Cultural Resources. The Powerhouse Science Center is designed to achieve a USGBC LEED Rating of Silver.

MINISTER ENGLISH ANNOUNCES €2.8 MILLION SCIENCE FOUNDATION IRELAND INVESTMENT IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING & MATHS PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT & EDUCATION INITIATIVES
The Minister for Research, Innovation and Skills, Damien English, TD today announced details of a €2.8 million national investment in 42 initiatives aimed at engaging the Irish public in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) through Science Foundation Ireland’s Discover funding awards. This investment further supports our national aim to have the most scientifically engaged public; breaking down barriers and creating more accessible paths to skill acquisition and ultimately fulfilling careers in science, technology, engineering and maths. Geographically dispersed, it is estimated that these STEM projects will touch 3.6 million people in Ireland by the end of 2017.

With no agricultural background, Dr. Panda has developed unique natural bonsai in his Vijnana Bana Ashram which also shows path for earning just by uprooting and nurturing the plants which are found to be small and thumb in nature.
Dr. Panda's Scientific Endeavour and research is no doubt praise worthy. One cannot but believe his dedicated effort in simple innovation laboratory.
Social service, innovation/ inventions, writing, free technology to students for preparation of science exhibition projects, free technology to common men for their sustainability, preparation of big natural bonsai, technology for entrepreneurs and industrialists for innovative item are few works of Mihir Kumar Panda after his Government service.
. To overcome the difficulties of science and math, explanation in classes, innovator Panda has created few thousands of educational, societal and scientific innovations which helps teachers and students of the country and abroad.
Dr. Panda believes that though inventions/innovation has reached under thousands and thousands deep in the sea and high up in the space. It has reached on moon and mars, but unfortunately the sustainable inventions/innovation has not properly gone to the tiny tots and common people.

Our music curators for the night, HomeBeat, slayed the line-up, with catscars, Fierce Mild and Margie Lewis (and family) taking to the stage. Neil Flynn, our DJ, was beamed in from his bedroom in Berlin, as was house artist Nina Hynes. Comedy trio Foil, Arms and Hog brought the house down with their latest sketches, and MAKESHOP brought us The Vinyl Countdown. There were workshops, demos, talks, games and Dublin-made honey galore in our garden, provided by our friends at BloomFringe. We'll see you at the next one, yeah?
