Luckily, I previously noticed these three juvenile squirrels learning their ways up and down the tree over by Lorch Hall. It was great to see all three together.

When PT Isn’t Enough — and What You Can Do Next
You went to physical therapy. You stretched. You followed the exercises. Maybe things improved a little… but the pain came back — or never fully went away. You’re not alone.
At Unity Pain Management, many of our patients come to us after physical therapy didn’t solve the issue completely. While PT is a powerful tool, sometimes pain needs more specialized care.
Here’s why that happens — and how we can help.
1. Underlying Inflammation Was Never Addressed
Physical therapy focuses on improving movement, posture, and muscle balance. But if you have ongoing inflammation, tight trigger points, or a nerve being compressed, exercise alone may not fix the pain.
In these cases, injections, medications, or anti-inflammatory treatments may be needed first — to calm the irritation and let you progress.
2. The Root Cause Was Missed
Not all pain comes from the area that hurts.
For example:
- Knee pain might be caused by hip misalignment
- Back pain might come from a bulging disc or SI joint
- Shoulder pain might actually stem from neck tension
If the root issue isn’t found and treated, PT may target the wrong area — and you won’t see results.
