Das Ergebnis eines zweistündigen Waldspazierganges am sehr frühen Morgen waren drei Fotos, von denen ich zwei schon wieder gelöscht habe. Aber dieses hier, war das ganze Wert.
The result of a two-hour-walk through the forest on a very early morning were three photographs. Two of them I deleted already, but this one, was worth it.

Männchen der "Frühen Adonislibelle" ... sie sind die einzigen Kleinlibellen mit einer derart ausgeprägten roten Färbung.
19th century rural home in southern Sweden.
The cottage is painted in the typical distinct red colour known as Falu red (Falu rödfärg) - a very popular paint from the 17th century onwards. It was at first used on mansions built in wood that were painted to imitate brickwork(!) but later on it became used on all kinds of houses and cottages. The paint originated as a byproduct of the copper mines in Falun (hence the name).
