Scarah Screams

I'm loving the grunge look these gals have been giving off. Very 90s.

I love this five-pack but why is Slo Mo class president? The only manster in the set?!? As if!

"Sure now, being a more traditional ghoul my own self I'm not one to be chasing after every fashion will-o-wisp that comes floating over the moor, don't you know. But every once in a green moon I like to carry myself over to the maul an do a bit of looking around, I usually end up though at a fashionably frightening little boutique where the owner can practically read me mind, which is a good thing, since it's terribly hard to ask for help when the store lurk interprets every question as a PRONOUNCEMENT OF DOOM."

Biggest Pet Peeve: "When other monsters try to mimic my accent. No, I don't want a charm- I don't care how lucky or frosted it is."

"I'm going to have my father buy this place and you'll never be allowed to eat here again!"

I made a poll at the MLP Arena to see which of my dolls people wanted to see more of in my photos. Scarah is currently in second place, one point behind Spectra, and someone suggested I take a photo of her using her telepathic powers.

After much experimenting with different techniques and effects, I've settled on this. Not entirely what I wanted, but it'll do the trick. I tried to combine two different effects with the new Hipstamatic Multi-Exposure Kit, but it wasn't working.

The ghouls have thrown a costume Boo Year's Eve party to say goodbye to 2015.

Apparently it's only for couples LOL but Clawdeen managed to find a date for the night :-)

It was fun dressing everyone in different outfits (also, it's been a while since they got played with so much!).

Happy Boo Year 2016 ghouls and mansters!!!

By the way, which guy/ghoul you think dressed the best?

Scarah Screams models a retro look from Ghoulia's Closet on Etsy. :) Doing this on my iPhone is taking forever and the app doesn't have everything, so I'll polish this up later when I'm in front of a computer. <3

This year we're really having a full moon on Christmas!

This hasn't happened since 1977!!!

I hope you like this super festive image of Iris as Miss Santa, Manny as the strong reindeer pulling the sleigh and Scarah as the helping elf.

The blue background with the moon is painted paper, the snow on the floor is cotton and the stars and falling snow in the sky are some effects I edited in to make this picture more magical :-)

✮☆✮My sister and I wish you a Lovely and Merry Christmas to you and yours!✮☆✮

and we Ho ho hope you receive tooons of presents ;-)

I voted for Arachne Jr. myself. And Headless Headmistress came a close second as a fave. Maybe it's because Scarah was so "basic"? Regardless of the popularity poll, she's fab and it's nice to give the background characters a chance in doll-form. She seems to be such a sweetheart (and every posse needs a telepath, right?)

I'm hoping we get to see Heath Burns as a basic doll since he's practically been there since episode 2, right? LOL

"We're not in Monster High anymore."

She kind of looks like she has her eyes closed all the time.

She answered "Yes, I am free tonight, and I love my freedom. So please Mister, let me sing now, because the saxophone is asking for me and its voice is much more flattering than yours"

I'm not really a big fan of St Patrick's Day. I did dye the Sunday morning pancakes green but otherwise I didn't do anything to observe the occasion.

However, St Paddy's Day is this week's MH Photo Challenge theme, so here we have the Irish banshee, Scarah Screams, serving up a special dish of mutated peas -- or are they moldy peanuts? I can't really tell -- in honor of the day.

Whatever they are, they put me in mind of that scene in Brave where Queen Elinor is trying to convince the triplets to eat their haggis, hence the title.

In other news, I recently purchased complete bee and three-eyed ghoul CAM dolls (still waiting for them to arrive though) and am in the process of organizing a trade for the ice/blob CAM set using the extra Nefera Mattel sent me as a replacement for my first Robecca, who had a broken leg. Also, according to a Mattel sales analyst I spoke to via e-mail, we will be getting the CAM sets here in New Zealand for the first time this May! Cool, eh?

We're also supposedly getting wave 2 of Picture Day in May. Can't wait. I love that Frankie. I also want 13 Wishes Howleen and Twyla. I'd love Wonder Wolf's outfit (and maybe Polterghoul's boots too). I recently discovered Jackson's orange Gloom Beach sunglasses. Love them! Wish they weren't so hard to find now. :/

Oh yeah, remember that mock album cover I did for "The Boo"? It was a play on The Who's Quadrophenia album. Well, I want to take some band shots, and so I've been assembling a collection of musical instruments and such. I've got big stacks of speakers, I've got an acoustic/electric guitar, a bass guitar, and a drum kit, but I still need a keyboard, a stool for the drummer, and some microphones with stands. Bratz made the things I want, but I'm having some trouble finding them on ebay. Hopefully soon. Stay tuned for that!

I like that her hands are different than the regular MH dolls.

of all the purses to reuse for Scarah I'm surprised it was this as it's an iconic Frankie item that's still very present in media. The colors are slightly off - only truly matching her green shoes - but it's still a nice piece!

Scarah, Robecca and Lagoona are here to wish you a very merry Christmas and happy holiday season this year! Stay safe everyone!

On a side note, Christmas is supposed to be about giving, right, and yet everyone always asks you what you got. For the past few years, I've been trying to start a trend where I ask people what they gave others for Christmas rather than what they were given. I implore you to give it a try this Christmas!

I'll start: I am giving my mother a print of this photo and my dad some Hobbit movie collectors NZ stamps. We're giving the older two girls the MLP Wedding Castle set with Shining Armor and Princess Cadance. I'm not sure what I'm going to give my wife yet ~ possibly a book shelf.
