About to land onto RWY 09 @ NWI in some dramatic light , This 7X has recently be re-sprayed into this nice matt paint....
This is Pikesten lighthouse or Fyr in Norwegian. Very easy access and a nice place to go for some late afternoon shots. Located in Asmaløy, Norway. Shot with my new Fuji X-T2 and 10-24mm lens.
Just back home after an amazing 10 day trip around Scandinavia. With a group of other great photo-togs and led by David Clapp and Antony Spencer. Will do a full blog write up later. Off to go pick up the pooch and go for a long walk. It has been a long couple of last days. Last night no sleep just shooting Aurora all night (temps from -25 to -37 C) then 3 flights yesterday and driven from Heathrow this morning. Bushed!
This one was taken in the fantastic Lofoten Islands Norway.
Cheers to all the guys who made this a top trip hope everyone gets home ok.
Skillebekkparken (Olaf Bulls Place)

Skillebekk is a neighbourhood of Oslo, Norway. It is located near Solli plass in the West End of Oslo. The name origins from Skillebekken is based on a brook between Bymarken and Frogner Hovedgård.
This was taken a few minutes before midnight on the Akershus fortress. The couple is enjoying the view to the Oslofjord and the lively city lights and sounds.

This species is a photography first for me. Previously living in West Yorkshire this is one I wouldn't come across too often. They breed in Iceland and Scandinavia, but reasonable numbers overwinter in the UK, preferring rocky coasts with a good covering of weed.
In their Winter plumage, like this one, they can be really tricky to pick out and photograph amongst the rock and weed.
This one was part of a mixed flock including the slightly larger Turnstone, on Bridlington south beach, in East Yorkshire.
The Bondhuselva, a river fed by the meltwater of the enormous Folgefonna Glacier and its sidearms. In the background, the cloud covered hills and mountains of the Husafjellet.
This picture was taken right next to our place to stay overnight and to start our hike early in the morning of the next day. But while this idyllic and almost peaceful little river is hardly perceptible during daytime, it had turned into a diabolical source of noise once we tried to sleep at night.
