Barred Owl with its dinner. Found him again a little later, sitting fat and happy in another tree digesting what I imagine is a big meal for an Owl.

Regno Unito, Londra, Westminster Abbey, Autunno 2021

Westminster Abbey is a large Gothic abbey church in the City of Westminster, London. It is one of the United Kingdom's most notable religious buildings and the traditional place of coronation and burial site for English and, later, British monarchs. Construction of the present church began in 1245, on the orders of King Henry III. Since the coronation of William the Conqueror in 1066, every English and British monarch, with the exceptions of Edward V and Edward VIII, have been crowned in Westminster Abbey. In 2005 Westminster Abbey has shut its doors to the film adaptation of The Da Vinci Code, saying that the book is "theologically unsound". Some scenes in the latter part of the book are set in the abbey in London but they had to film at Lincoln Cathedral in eastern England instead.

I think it must be Aikos hair that was stuck on this little ice heads face - giving us a smile

Saying Brrrr, it's cold outside, the wind is arctic and very cold

But it's Monday and who can't smile when we have new pages to make in our life book, new experiences, new people to meet, new food to taste

And not to mention another week has gone and I'm closing in to someone coming home, for every Monday that goes

I just love Mondays

It's never easy to lose someone that has been a big part of your life. Even if you have never really met them, you feel like you know them. Having older brothers really helped since they would bring home the records. Since 1978 (Just before my 5th birthday) I have been a big fan.

So you got a little heartbreak

Feeling like a dumb chump

Laying in left field

Can't believe you got dumped

Everything gone wrong

But you're listening to the right song

Grab yourself a cheap seat

Floating or flying

Anything southbound

Heading to the islands

Grab a little white sand

Maybe get your blues tanned

Riptides rippin'

The sunset's dippin'

You smile that smile

Keep on sippin'

Time flies

Sitting in the sun

When you're feeling numb

Time flies

When you're having rum

Yeah, you find a little beach bar

Down on the water

Sail away the Captain

Feeling Jolly Roger

Talking to a cutie

Heading for the booty

Riptides rippin'

The sunset's dippin'

You smile that smile

You'll be saying

Time flies

Sitting in the sun

Yeah, when you're getting some

Time flies

When you're having rum

Yeah

Riptides rippin'

The sunset's dippin'

You smile that smile

You'll be saying

Time flies

Yeah, when your in the sun

Yeah, when you're feeling numb

Time flies

A rare occasion when a Short-eared owl not only flies close to you, but perches by your car. I was just about to pack up the car when I noticed this guy sitting on a pole right next to the parking lot.

Why is it sad?

Makes us remember the good times we've had

Much more to say

Foolish to try

It's time for saying goodbye

Belgrade is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Europe and the world. From prehistoric times to the present, this capital city of Serbia has been battled over in 115 wars and razed 44 times, bombed five times and besieged by many. It’s a city of both beauty and ugly scars. In this photo, you see it’s magic and the rest is hidden in darkness.

Record crowds lined the streets of Manchester to celebrate Chinese New Year and watch the city's famous Dragon Parade in what has been described as the busiest year yet. A huge 175ft long dragon, dancing lions and traditional Geisha artists were among the hundreds of participants in the parade through the city centre.

They were watched by thousands of people who crammed along Oxford Street, Portland Street and through China Town which were all closed to traffic for the celebration on Sunday. Naturally it was the dragon dancers - formed of two parts - that drew the biggest gasps from the hundreds of youngsters lining the streets with their families.

The dragons swept over and around the crowds chasing the "Pearl of Wisdom" - a large globe on a pole which is symbolic of the dragon chasing wisdom and knowledge. Manchester's civic dignitaries earlier bestowed the dragon with red ribbons to usher in good fortune.

2024 is the Lunar Year of the Dragon - which is a symbol of good luck, health and strength in Chinese culture. The reason why dragon dances are performed at the start of the Lunar New Year is because they are believed to chase away evil spirits and welcome in prosperous times.

City centre spokesman Pat Karney hailed it a "record year" for Chinese New Year celebrations saying: "The best ever Chinese New Year Celebrations. Record crowds have been treated to a feast of dance and musical performances and the Dragon had kids in absolute awe."

Oleg received an invitation for 2 bears to afternoon tea at the Palim Court at the Ritz from the Christmas bear and Father Christmas. Oleg has asked his very best friend Paddy www.flickr.com/photos/40262251@N03/53417843047/in/gallery... to join him

After a very successful afternoon tea of much conversation over tea and various kinds of sweets, it was time to return home again

Saying goodbye is always hard.......

OLEG:

Thank you so much for your company my dear friend Paddy.

I enjoyed the meaningful conversations and will miss them.

PADDY: (wipes a tear)

I'm going to miss those conversations too Oleg.

Thank you so much for letting me come with you.

OLEG:

And...what a rest without Peter.

Fine for a while, but I long to see him again

PADDY:

I feel the same way Oleg.

OLEG:

Then we should say goodbye now

PADDY:

I have to go now because the train leaves in four minutes

Bye Oleg!!!

OLEG: (waving)

Bye Paddy!

Special greetings to Daddy!
