This amazing image really snuck up on me. I was facing the ocean as the sun rose somewhere up the north east corner of tasmania. Its was about to rain. But for a brief moment the sun shone throught the gap in the clouds on the horision. i turned around to check the view behiond me, as any good photographer should, and pow! This image was what i saw. Amazing!
A moving walk along Blitz Beach near the Mersey Estuary... a section of reclaimed land formed from the rubble which was left after the bombing of Liverpool by the German air force in WW2. The rubble was covered by sand and soil, extending the dunes along the coast. Now erosion from the waves and wind are slowly uncovering the rubble, and shaping them anew.
