About 10 minutes from where I live is this beautiful lake. I think we all take for granted what is round the corner.
Another joy of spring - bluebells ! Once again, couldn't resist trying this out in Topaz Studio and I do hope you like my painting.
Thank you for all your support and friendship, I hope you're all having a lovely weekend.
I also hope you like the music I've chosen to go with my image. Right click on the link and open in the new tab. Thank you !
Gary Moore - Still Got The Blues (Live)
Thanks for looking and listening !
Keeping with my ocean theme, this is an image of Kelvin-Helmoholtz Wave Clouds (according to my brother who knows about such things).
I could not take my eyes off these freaky looking clouds, as if an upside down ocean was hanging above the city, ready to burst and drown the buildings below with salt water.
Taken (somewhat illegally) with my phone while driving over City Link on my long commute in bumper to bumper traffic down to South Gippsland to chase Giant Worms
Evening gardening with a glass of Cab Sav, my Samsung 8 and strictly adhering to the chaotic garden process. Which is the lazy person's way to use up those old seeds that may or may not still be viable.
My work coffee cup ! yeah its manky & gets washed once aweek if I remember to take it home ! my Mrs calls me a tramp 😁
Two large spoonfuls & alot of milk prepares me for the days onslaught 😕
Phone shot. Coming back from a shoreline walk with Darcy by Castle Stalker I took a wrong turn, deliberately. And found myself driving on an empty road winding through beautiful forests heading for some cluster of houses collectively called Invercreran. There were some beautiful homes, but it was the setting that really impressed. Forests. Still lochs. Big mountains. Pure Scotland.
I have a few bears sitting out in the living room.
There are a few guitars as well and I take heat about the guitars all the time. I do have quite a few.
Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday
I just made these bluebird houses for my farm in Kentucky. I had three already out in the woods and now I have added or will add these as new additions. There seems to be quite a population early in the year and later in fall. I did place one of these houses at my mother's house in town (no bluebirds there) and three days later a pair of wrens found the box and by days end they had filled the box and made it their home!!!!
I got the plans off the internet and then I modified them and made my own changes to the box design. The bluebirds on my farm have used the ones already in place. They like the houses!!! :-)
The boxes are made out of western cedar fence boards. The front door opens with the pull of a little nail so they can be cleaned out after nesting season. They are vented at top of door in front, on each side and in the bottom. Don't put a perch rod below opening because it invites other types of birds and the wood is rough so the bluebirds don't need them.
Almost everynight I am witness to a similar view. Every few minutes it changes and I sit in awe. It is a good way to contemplate things. Or not think at all.
There must be peace somewhere. A place where people care about each other regardless of their politics.
Happy anything
The reason dogs have so many friends is because they wag their tails not their tongues. Lady Hysteria approximately 13 years young. Difficult to know how old she really is as pooches from the pound don't have birth certificates. Samsung 9 via Instagram - www.instagram.com/greta_powell/
Just a little light conversation might have helped. However that cheeky bottle of Cab Sav hit the spot though. Pre-Christmas lunch last weekend. Love my Samsung!
Picture shot by my son Ivo.
Ivo is a truck driver in southern New Zealand. He starts early in the morning at 2:30, driving his 50 T truck into the early light. He sometimes stops and takes a picture of the truck when light or scenery are interesting.
