♫ Sleigh Ride - Johnny Desmond ♫
Old Saint Nick can't catch his famous team of Reindeer this year! Not even Rudolph is anywhere in sight! So what to do? Well he decided to go out and wrangle up his.own brand of Rhosgobel Bunnies to pull that sleigh!
The Bunnies:

Santa was played by Morgan Talbot in this capture. Morgan was also gracious enough to allow me to take this shot on his lovely sim, Sharindlar.

"It's no easy thing judging who's been naughty and who's been nice," says Santa's number one helper. "We can't always have rose colored glasses on. Reality demands more. Some times tough calls from grumpy deciders have to be made."
I spent several days in Death Valley National Park recently capturing the Geminid Meteor Shower with a workshop group of mine. I took them to several spots in the park during out time there, but I flew out a day early so I could take my 6th trip out to the racetrack playa.
I have mostly been to the racetrack during the milky way season, so I was excited to do some exploring on a cold winter's night. I always camp in this park because it is a great place to do just that. With it being so close to Christmas, I decided to bring out some christmas lights to decorate my campsite along with my trusty Santa hat, I only planned on wearing it out there, but I decided this mysterious sailing stone would make a better fit that night... What do you think?
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and have a Happy New Year!

This is version without Christmas card. It have one extra candy on right side, it have more close view and it have naughty sea in background. Santas Claus look worried... I think it is because he forget to deliver few gifts... He confuse because there is Istra Peninsula in Croatia and Istra city in Russia... He is not sure where to deliver the candies... Reindeer Gus isn't worry so much he is always an optimist and less in charge, everybody will blame Santa Claus if gifts do not deliver.

Santa Claus (also known as Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle, or Santa) is a legendary figure originating in Western Christian culture who is said to bring gifts during the late evening and overnight hours on Christmas Eve. He is said to accomplish this with the aid of Christmas elves, who make the toys in his workshop, and with the aid of flying reindeer who pull his sleigh through the air.
The popular conception of Santa Claus originates from folklore traditions surrounding the 4th-century Christian bishop Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of children. Saint Nicholas became renowned for his reported generosity and secret gift-giving. The image of Santa Claus shares similarities with the English figure of Father Christmas, and they are both now popularly regarded as the same person.
Santa is generally depicted as a portly, jolly, white-bearded man, often with spectacles, wearing a red coat with white fur collar and cuffs, white-fur-cuffed red trousers, a red hat trimmed with white fur, a black leather belt and boots, carrying a bag full of gifts for children. He is popularly associated with a deep, hearty laugh, frequently rendered in Christmas literature as "ho, ho, ho!"
This image originated in North America during the 19th century, influenced by Dutch immigrants who brought the legend of Sinterklaas ("Saint Nicholas") to 17th-century New Amsterdam (present-day New York City), and has been maintained and reinforced through song, radio, television, children's books, family Christmas traditions, films, and advertising.
Basingstoke college students have been busy getting festive with a very special sleigh project. Six students from Basingstoke College of Technology (BCOT) enrolled in automotive, construction and art courses had worked together to design, build and decorate a new charity sleigh, ready for the Round Table tour of Basingstoke during December 2023. Santa and his elves were touring different areas in the town, from Kempshott to Old Basing, raising money for charities. The sleigh was officially handed over by the students to the Basingstoke Round Table in early December, ready for the start of the tour.
Basingstoke Round Table is a vibrant community organisation that has been fostering fellowship, service, and fun since its founding in 1935. Part of the wider Round Table movement, the group is dedicated to bringing together men ages 18-45 from across the Basingstoke area to share experiences, build friendships, and give back to the community through charitable events and activities.
Basingstoke Round Table, play an active role in supporting the local community through engaging events and meaningful fundraising activities. The two main annual initiatives are the Santa Sleigh Fundraiser and our participation in the Hatch Warren Community Centre Summer Fair, both of which aim to raise money for local charities and community projects.
The Santa Sleigh Fundraiser is a cherished tradition, bringing festive cheer to families across Basingstoke during the holiday season. With Santa himself touring the streets, spreading joy while collecting donations that go directly to supporting those in need within our community.

An old and broken holiday decoration,
found years ago in the gulley where they used to dump the farm’s trash.
This old guy has had a rough time of it.
I have Father Christmas from the knees up.
Porcelain, probably made in Germany.
The fragment I have is 1-3/4 inches tall.

St. Nicholas Church is an ancient Byzantine Church located in modern-day town of Demre Antalya Province, (Southwest Turkey). Its usage is dated between 5th-12th centuries. It is most notable for being the burial place of St. Nicholas of Myra, who was the Eastern Orthodox bishop of the ancient city of Myra in the 4th century, and is an important religious figure for Eastern Orthodox Christians.
There are fine marble mosaic pavements (opus sectile) and faded wall paintings throughout the church.
The Church of St. Nicholas is only used for religious services one day each year: the Feast of St. Nicholas on December 6. The ecumenical celebrations begin with a Greek Orthodox Divine Liturgy celebrated by the Metropolitan of Myra, who lives in Istanbul. Next is a service in which Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant clergy participate. The Cardinal Archbishop of Bari, where the saint's relics are now, is also represented.
After his death, Nicholas became the patron saint of sailors and seafarers, and many pilgrims came to visit his tomb. Over the centuries, the legends and great popularity of St. Nicholas of Myra led to the Christmastime figure of the bearded man who secretly brings toys to children. He is still known as St. Nick in most of Europe (and he brings his gifts on December 6, not Christmas)

I bought this tacky mini-snow globe last Christmas for my Mom. She's not a big fan of kitschy stuff like snow globes/fake plants/precious moments figurines/etc, so when I found this thing for only $1, I just HAD to get it for her. >:)
