Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat (village) - Beaulieu-sur-Mer
Longueur : 1,3 km (aller) - Départ en face de la Mairie de Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.
Parking : Place du centenaire ou plage « Cros dei Pin ».
Niveau très facile
Durée : 20 min
La Promenade Maurice Rouvier prend son départ face à la Mairie et offre un panorama sur la baie de Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat avec le port de plaisance, la plage « Cros dei Pin », la pointe Saint Hospice au sommet de laquelle se détache la Chapelle Saint-Hospice.
A droite, sur les hauteurs, on peut apercevoir les villages pittoresques de La Turbie et d’Eze village; en contrebas, Cap d’Ail. Le dernier cap fermant l’horizon étant l’Italie. La place "David Niven" a été ainsi nommée en souvenir du grand acteur qui fut jusqu’à sa mort un fidèle de Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Possibilité de rejoindre la Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild en prenant la petite traverse à gauche.
Le chemin ombragé se poursuit jusqu’à la baie des Fourmis, avec à droite la Villa grecque Kerylos (musée). Un dernier virage et voici la plage de Beaulieu-sur-Mer et le port des Fourmis; à gauche se trouve l’hôtel Royal-Riviera, 5 étoiles, un des fleurons de l’hôtellerie de la Côte d’Azur.

The Maurice Rouvier Promenade takes its departure opposite the Town Hall and offers a panorama on the bay of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat with the marina, the beach "Cros dei Pin", the point Saint Hospice at the top of which stands out Chapel Saint-Hospice.
On the right, on the heights, we can see the picturesque villages of La Turbie and Eze village; below, Cap d'Ail. The last cap closing the horizon is Italy. The place "David Niven" was so named in memory of the great actor who was until his death a faithful of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. You can reach Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild by taking the small crossroads on the left.
The shaded path continues to the Bay of the Ants, with on the right the Greek Villa Kerylos (museum). One last turn and here is the beach of Beaulieu-sur-Mer and the port of the Ants; to the left is the Royal-Riviera hotel, 5 stars, one of the flagship hotels of the Côte d'Azur.

This boat from Cap Ferrat Diving took me across the bay to Cap Estel. Not 50 yards off shore, there is a steep, conical rock that drops over 100' down to the Mediterranean floor below. What a great, unplanned excursion on a fantastic trip to a beautiful part of the world!
I'm not a fanatical diver, but I do love diving and now I can proudly say, "j'ai plongé en méditerranée, berceau de la plongée"

This path soon gives way to a paved one leading to Cap Gros, then running alongside the walls surrounding the great parks of the private properties "château de la Garoupe" and "château de la Croé": the winding and sometimes narrow route leads along the rocky headland and around some small creeks. This brings you to the tip of Cap d'Antibes where you will find the villa Eilenroc. Head inland via the "sentier des Douaniers", enclosed by two walls separating the path from the landscape gardens full of wonderful fragrances, then follow avenue Beaumont until it joins the main boulevard Francis Meilland, then return to the car park via avenue de la Tour Gandolphe.

PROMENADE MAURICE ROUVIER.
Cette balade relie Beaulieu sur Mer à Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat par le bord de mer en maximum 30 mn.
Entièrement goudronnée et sans escaliers, cette promenade est accessible aux poussettes et aux personnes à mobilité réduite. Elle offre un panorama exceptionnel sur ces deux villes et leur baie ainsi que sur de magnifiques villas face à la mer
Située entre le Cap Ferrat et le Port des Fourmis et à l’entrée de la station balnéaire en venant de Villefranche sur Mer, la plage des fourmis de Beaulieu sur Mer est une plage publique recouverte de très fins gravillons.
Elle s'étend sur environ 250 mètres, bien équipée de douches et toilettes pour votre confort, ainsi que d'un large choix de restaurants et plages privées pour le plaisir et la détente. Il est à noter que la partie la plus proche du port est la zone la plus large. Le port de Beaulieu Fourmis est caractérisé par son statut associatif qui lui confère une ambiance particulière autour des pêcheurs plaisanciers locaux qui en sont les résidents majoritaires.
D’autre part, à partir de cette plage, la promenade Maurice Rouvier vous permettra de découvrir le Cap Ferrat et de rejoindre ses plages comme notamment la plage du Cros Dei Pin, située juste avant le port.
Located between Cap Ferrat and Port des Fourmis and at the entrance to the seaside resort coming from Villefranche sur Mer, Beaulieu sur Mer’s Fourmis beach is a public beach covered with very fine gravel.
It extends over approximately 250 meters, well equipped with showers and toilets for your comfort, as well as a wide choice of restaurants and private beaches for pleasure and relaxation. It should be noted that the part closest to the port is the widest area. The port of Beaulieu Fourmis is characterized by its associative status which gives it a special atmosphere around the local recreational fishermen who are the majority residents.
On the other hand, from this beach, the Maurice Rouvier promenade will allow you to discover Cap Ferrat and reach its beaches such as Cros Dei Pin beach, located just before the port.

A droite, sur les hauteurs, on peut apercevoir les villages pittoresques de La Turbie et d’Eze village; en contrebas, Cap d’Ail. Le dernier cap fermant l’horizon étant l’Italie. La place "David Niven" a été ainsi nommée en souvenir du grand acteur qui fut jusqu’à sa mort un fidèle de Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Possibilité de rejoindre la Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild en prenant la petite traverse à gauche.
Le chemin ombragé se poursuit jusqu’à la baie des Fourmis, avec à droite la Villa grecque Kerylos (musée). Un dernier virage et voici la plage de Beaulieu-sur-Mer et le port des Fourmis; à gauche se trouve l’hôtel Royal-Riviera, 5 étoiles, un des fleurons de l’hôtellerie de la Côte d’Azur.
N.B. : entièrement goudronnée et sans escaliers, cette promenade est accessible aux poussettes et aux personnes à mobilité réduite.

The Maurice Rouvier Promenade takes its departure opposite the Town Hall and offers a panorama on the bay of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat with the marina, the beach "Cros dei Pin", the point Saint Hospice at the top of which stands out Chapel Saint-Hospice.
On the right, on the heights, we can see the picturesque villages of La Turbie and Eze village; below, Cap d'Ail. The last cap closing the horizon is Italy. The place "David Niven" was so named in memory of the great actor who was until his death a faithful of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. You can reach Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild by taking the small crossroads on the left.
The shaded path continues to the Bay of the Ants, with on the right the Greek Villa Kerylos (museum). One last turn and here is the beach of Beaulieu-sur-Mer and the port of the Ants; to the left is the Royal-Riviera hotel, 5 stars, one of the flagship hotels of the Côte d'Azur.
N.B.: completely tarmacked and without stairs, this walk is accessible to strollers and people with reduced mobility.

Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is a French commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Its inhabitants are called the Holy Jeannoi
The current lighthouse was built in 1949 by the Highways of the time and lit in 1952. It is an octagonal pyramidal tower masonry stone on a pyramidal and pentagonal base in stone. The lighthouse is connected to the first floor of a building housing square babysitting housing. A closet, next, finish the work. It is automated.
