On November 10, 1993, Ray Marsh was on hand in Spring St. to capture this scene of 927 turning off Flinders St. on to the new track in Spring St. which marked the completion of the Melbourne City Circle tram route.
On that day this tram was one of the first service cars to travel on the new track.
A bar by Fulham Broadway station, nothing special from the outside, but a nice old pub building. Since renamed as Maddison's, then back to this name again in 2019, and then just the Broadway Bar. (Older photo of it as The King's Head from 2010.)

The first Hammond Organ was invented by Laurens Hammond in the 1930s. Until the 1970s they were electro-mechanical instruments. They contained tonewheels which rotated beneath electromagnetic pickups. More recently they have been replaced by Clonewheel Organs, electronic instruments which emulate the sound of the electromechanical tonewheel-based organs.
This is a Hammond B-3 (first introduced in 1955 and produced until 1974). One of the most portable Hammond organs, it can be heard on many notable recordings from R and B to Gospel to Jazz.
Electronic Organs are assigned the number 5 in the Hornbostel-Sachs classification of musical instruments ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hornbostel-Sachs ), indicating:
5 = Electrophones. Sound is generated by electrical means.

Another SW6 tram on the City Circle service. This car had its trolley pole replaced by a pantograph in late 2002 and re-entered service thus equipped in March 2003.
Since 2009 Melbourne's tram network - apparently the largest in the world with 250 km of double track and around 475 trams spanning nine classes - has been operated by Keolis.
Roman Abramovich hasn't attended many games at the Bridge this year, but his son Arkadiy can often be seen in the box with his personal security and various friends. Former player Andriy Shevchenko attended the final game of the season, as did Roman's 'best friend' Evgeny (Eugene) Shvidler and regular hanger on (and former manager) Bobby Campbell.

Heres another from the North End Road`unsure of the year again,and heres `the elm`was rebuilt in 1898 but for how much longer `The Seven Stars` over the road has closed down...see my stream for many more old n new shots
Melbourne never succumbed to the pressure to rid itself of its trams, unlike Sydney and the network remains very busy to this day.
The SW6 trams, a subclass of the once numerous W Class trams, were introduced in 1939. A small fleet of 10 W Class trams continue to operate around Melbourne, where they are used on the zero fare City Circle tourist route, and several other revenue services, including the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant service. I believe another 30 Class W trams are stored in serviceable condition.

This photo was taken when the original trolley poles were still in use, From about 2004, these have been replaced with much more reliable pantographs on most, if not all, Victorian trams.
The tram is bound for Spencer Street Station (now Southern Cross), on route 48, and is about to pass Flinders Street Station. Melbourne, Victoria, 22nd December, 1968.
SW6.871 is a former Melbourne Tram that was part of a project where Community groups could aquire one of a number of stored Trams and use them for new purposes.
Terang is a small town in Victoria's South West and the local RSL branch aquired 1941 SW6.871 to display in front of the local RSL buildings within their memorial garden.
The tram was placed in 2019 and the club has set up a War memorial display inside the Tram.

Incredible scenes outside Fulham Football Ground..........Fella walking down then fell over and remained in this position then got up and walkled in the wall...from being there i would say drugs or alcohol.......
Yet another Classic photo from SW6...All buildings still standing over 100 years later..But just to the right is St Mathews Church the original was demolished in 1999 having been there since 1895....But not to worry a new Church has since been built on the same location....
Pheww!..Another classic from SW6..when is it gonna stop?.....Lady Margaret School opened In 1917 ..... The Girls School was named after the Lady Margaret Beaufort, mother of Henry VII.....The School has expanded over the years...

Attractive old building for this pub. As of 2012, it has apparently been acquired by Brakspear's and to be run by Claude Bosi, so expect it to go gastro. Renamed as The Wolfpack in 2021.

This grand old pub building has gone through a number of identities. It appears to have since been known as Lowlander, The Low Country and The Ox Wagon, and returned to the original name in 2017, then renamed to The Courtyard in 2019, since closed. (Close-up of old name on building.)
