Une structure qui nous fait réfléchir à cette montée des eaux qui pourrait faire disparaitre la ville italienne.
Support est une sculpture représentant deux mains, provenant des fonds marins, qui soutiennent l’hôtel Ca ‘Sagredo au bord du Grand Canal.
Une volonté de l’artiste de nous faire réagir à l’impact du changement climatique et aux montées des eaux qui peuvent nuire à Venise.

Got close and personal to a very vintage movie projector. It was the first time I've ever seen one of these devices and I loved the look of it! It would be cool to have one of these on display and even luckier if I used it for its purpose. It's a purchase I'll definitely revisit in the future.

Поездка сюда была спонтанной. Кто-то предложил встретить рассвет на Истре и мы все поддержали, тем более погода обещала быть морозной. Зимой Истра практически не замерзает из-за большого обилия родников подпитывающих реку. Температура родников около +8С, поэтому то река и подогревается зимой. В сильные морозы река начинает парить, окутывая все вокруг пушистым инеем.
Это было довольно прохладное утро, всего -26 по Цельсию. Стоял очень плотный туман над рекой, пришлось ждать, когда поднимется солнце, чтобы хоть что-нибудь было видно. Я переживал за фототехнику, штатив покрылся инеем и работать с ним было очень тяжело. Что ж, это был довольно интересный опыт.
The trip here was spontaneous. Someone offered to meet the dawn on Istra and we supported everything, especially since the weather promised to be frosty. In winter, Istra practically does not freeze due to the large abundance of springs that feed the river. The temperature of the springs is about + 8C, so the river is heated in winter. In severe frosts, the river begins to soar, enveloping everything around with fluffy hoarfrost.
It was quite a cool morning, only -26 Celsius. There was a very dense fog over the river, we had to wait for the sun to rise in order to see at least anything. I was worried about photographic equipment, the tripod was covered with frost and it was very difficult to work with it. Well, it was quite an interesting experience.

The former spa hotel Fürstenhof is a hotel complex in the southern quarter of the city of Eisenach in Thuringia. The buildings, which have been vacant since the mid-1990s, are in a ruinous condition. According to the ruling of the administrative court in Meiningen at the end of August 2021, the building may be demolished along with the ancillary buildings.
Investigations in 2000 and 2003 concluded that renovation was uneconomical. In 2004, the listed building status for the building complex was revoked - also in view of the structural decay and architectural losses during the GDR era.
To prevent a collapse, the ceiling of the foyer is completely supported with beams.

Mono Lake, nestled in California's eastern Sierra Nevada, is renowned for its extraordinary saline environment, dramatic tufa towers, and the incredibly productive ecosystem it sustains.
This highly alkaline lake provides a unique habitat for brine shrimp and alkali flies, which in turn support millions of migratory birds.
The striking tufa towers, formed by mineral deposits, stand as iconic, otherworldly sentinels around its shores.
Even in the frigid winter, Mono Lake remarkably remains unfrozen, a testament to its high salt concentrations.
Adding to its geological intrigue, the Mono Lake volcanic field, with vents on its northern shore and on Paoha and Negit Islands, was last active mere centuries ago.

"Band des Bundes", Berlin
"Die ursprüngliche Idee für das Band des Bundes ist eine verbindende Geste. In einer doppelten Symbolik schlagen Regierungsbauten und die Gebäude für die demokratisch gewählten Abgeordneten eine Verbindung und symbolische Brücke zwischen Ost und West. Die Demokratie ist Bauherr. Dem 1995 begonnenen Bau geht die größte bis dahin dagewesene weltweite Projektausschreibung für öffentliche Bauten voran: 835 Architekten bewerben sich um die Aufträge. Es geht darum Deutschlands neue Regierungszentrale wie auch die Büros für die Abgeordneten des Parlaments zu entwerfen.
Den Zuschlag für die Neugestaltung des Spreebogens erhalten die Architekten Axel Schultes und Charlotte Frank. Paul-Löbe-Haus und Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus konzipiert der Architekt Stefan Braunfels. Verworfen werden die ursprünglich geplante Platzanlage Bürgerforum mit Cafés und Geschäften und zunächst die Verlängerung in Richtung Bahnhof Friedrichstraße. (...) Das Paul-Löbe-Haus ist benannt nach dem Reichstagspräsidenten und Alterspräsidenten des ersten Deutschen Bundestags. Es beherbergt die Büros von Abgeordneten, Sitzungssäle und die zentrale Besucherbetreuung. Besonders prägnant ist die Glasfassade an der Westseite. Positioned deep within the frame, perfectly splitting the mid-ground and background, the frog is draped in tiny patches of duckweed, camouflaging him into the swampy carpet. In the distance, the scene is framed by weathered, moss-covered logs, adding a rustic texture to the soft, aquatic environment.

IT WAS ONE OF THOSE DAYS, when nothing was happening, we all have them, was sitting in the hide, waiting, and willing this tufty to swim past this area of reeds that was being highlighted by a brief show of sun, which also meant it had to go past the hide, eventually it took a mad rush, hence the large wake of water, and luckily, managed to capture this one. Taken at Stodmarsh.Kent.U.K

Batala played in support of St. John’s Hospice at their Cross Bay Walk on 17 August 2025 across Morecambe Bay. They helped to get the day off to a rousing start and drummed the 500 walkers off (including me) as they set off across the bay, led by the King’s Guide to the Sands. St. John’s Hospice is Batala's charity for this year, as chosen by their members.
Batala Lancaster is Lancaster’s original samba-reggae drumming band, established in 2004. They are part of the Batala Mundo family of bands, which comprises 45 sister bands in 17 countries, with over 2,000 members. All Batala bands play a form of Samba Drum music originating in Salvador, Bahia, in northeastern Brazil.
Batala was formed as the European wing of Cortejo Afro (a style of Brazilian Samba) by Giba Gonçalves in Paris in 1997.
Giba is the maestro of the Batala sound, which he composed in the style of his hometown, Salvador, in Brazil. The music has its roots in African traditional music, which found its way to Brazil and has been incorporated into Brazilian culture since.
Using this influence, Giba formed a 60-piece drumming band called Batala and encouraged anyone interested in his music to create their own Batala group under his name. There are now 46 Batala groups in 17 countries worldwide, with 9 located in the UK.
Batala Lancaster was the third UK Batala band, formed in 2004 after Batala Portsmouth and Batala Bangor. In 2019 and in 2024, they celebrated their 20th Anniversary.
Their international community of over 2,000 drummers all play the same Batala rhythms composed by Giba. He teaches the same music to all of his bands around the world, allowing them to perform in unison at huge global events where he leads the band. It’s loud, intricate, and intense, but it’s also very accessible and fun to play.
Batala Mundo won Best Brazilian Band for the last three years running at Notting Hill Carnival, the largest carnival event in Europe.
