L'aqueduc de l'Avre réalisé en 1893 approvisionne Paris en eau potable depuis plusieurs sources distantes de la capitale de plus de 100 km. Elles sont situées dans les environs de Rueil-la-Gadelière dans le Thymerais (Eure-et-Loir). L'aqueduc détourne de cette région relativement sèche près de 100 000 m3/j. Il franchit l'Eure à Montreuil près de Dreux et la Seine entre Saint-Cloud et Boulogne-Billancourt grâce à un ouvrage bâti par Gustave Eiffel. La lune était sur le point de son orbite le plus proche de la Terre, marquant la dernière « super lune » de l'année.
Pourquoi nous l’appelons ainsi ?
La pleine lune des fraises est l'un des noms traditionnels de la pleine lune de juin utilisés par les Amérindiens.
Ce nom ne concerne aucunement les caractéristiques de la Lune. Il provient simplement du fruit que les tribus amérindiennes récoltaient en juin : les fraises.
