A 1991 built Mark I is seen deadheading past 29th avenue station towards the OMC1 yard near Edmonds during the end of the AM rush.
As time progresses more and more Mark Is will slowly be retired which will soon make sights like this harder to come by.

My PL2T has been sent in for repairs (broken spring) so I had to use this cheap $10 desktop stand. It takes up so much room- makes me thankful for overhead booms.

My dad bought a little bandsaw and, as I was coming down to NC for a visit anyway, asked me to help him knock together a stand for it. He'd bought a little pocket-hole screw jig and was eager to try it out, so we banged this thing together over the weekend. Seems sturdy and functional, and I think he'll appreciate my suggestion that we add a riser to get the table up closer to his eye level, as he's 6' 3".

The Stand/trolley is made up from 60x40x3mm steel box section welded up in a square. The four corners each have a 3mm plate welded on the underside to provide extra strength at the joins and also to mount the castors.
The engine is held on the crane here as I've not yet braced the engine to balance it front to back. When mounted in a car the gearbox supports the rear of the entire assembly.

Blyton Church stands in Church Lane in the heart of the Lincolnshire Village, close to the Town of Gainsborough. Slightly unusually, this Early English church is dedicated to St. Martin of Tours, and is Grade 1 listed.
This view is an updated version of a similar photo taken over 60 years ago by one of the famous Gainsborough photographers - I can't quite recall if it was Carter or Brocklehurst (or even someone else!)

STAND or STANDING is the topic for Wednesday Aug. 24 2011
Daisy and L.B. waiting while I open the gate to the pond. You can see L.B. just can't stand that I am stopping to take photos. I finally get a nice shot of Daisy. She is more leaning over the side of the truck than standing. 30 seconds later we all had a nice swim to cool off.
It was kind of funny to me that Tom Petty's "The Waiting" was on the radio while I was taking this shot: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItLzdZV004s
I knew the farmer had baled the straw that afternoon and was hoping for a golden evening light. I also wanted round bales too but it was not to be. As soon as I saw the black stormy clouds, I decided to try an HDR to give it a moody feel.

New brew stand is finally operational. Still need to buy a pump to eliminate pouring boiling liquids at chest height but I brewed my first batches on it today and it works great.
