View from the castle in the old town of Bratislava across the Danube to the new quarter of Petržalka, dominated by communist-era high-rise buildings. The was shot in late December 2025, on a cold day, with the morning sun starting to clear the fog.
The bridge, built in 1972, is the Most SNP (SNP=Slovenského národného povstania, Slovak National Uprising in 1944) or novy most (new bridge) with a restaurant called UFO at 80 metres height. They're very proud of this in Bratislava. I rode the elevator to the restaurant and had a drink there, it's very nice.

Lower Howard's Creek SNP
Near Boonesboro, KY
Overnight precipitation brought the limestone wall to life on Lower Howard's Creek. Normally it is all white.

This is a classic Shenandoah National Park (SNP) view from one of the overlooks along the Skyline Drive. I never get tired of coming up here to see what Mother Nature will offer.
