I just started watching Fringe season 5 [1], which was just concluded. I generally prefer to do season-long marathons over watching things weekly. Pacing is better for me this way.

What I used to do is chain-smoke while watching TV. But I can’t do it in Hong Kong so I started eating pistachios instead. One bag of pistachios span approximately 3 40min episodes. A bit fattening I think.

For those of you who commented that I should quit smoking, I think that I will pick getting skinny with a potentially shorter lifespan over getting fat and thus minimizing chance to get suitable mates.

Besides, SML Family has a history of long life anyway. Everybody who has passed away in the previous generations are over 90yo. I would much rather rip the benefits of smoking over living til I am over 100.

Just finished a week long interaction design consulting with a New York client. Super psyched with the result. Happy clients + awesome projects = best happiness biohack for life.

Meanwhile, it looks like that this new toy will soon arrive at SML Universe HKG. I am currently reconfiguring living space to house this giant toy so I can print my panoramic photography in sizes where I can see the actual subjects.

I bought a 3TB half a year ago + it's already full, so I bought another yesterday. I actually went out and bought a 4TB Seagate but it won’t format to Mac even though it said it would. They want me to physically bring the drive to a Kwai Hing in person—like I have the time for it. Thankfully the new LaCie arrived this morning within 24hrs. SML Thank You, $AAPL, you rock! Even though there is no ecommerce to speak of in HongKong I am just glad that the online Apple Store does work quite efficiently in HongKong.

Just in time for the photoshoot on Sunday. Thank god. Meanwhile I am still investigating a 20TB RAID solution but nothing seems to be good enough for the job.

Located on the 20th floor of iSquare in Tsim Sha Tsui, the Canon Customer Care Center provides support for both in-warranty and out-of-warranty care for its customers.

I went there yesterday mainly to get the battery grip for 6D as the retailer who sold me the body did not carry it, and also to send my 7D to be looked at.

None of the camera bodies except the 1D series are weather-sealed, and after leaving the 7D near my opened window during stormy weathers in Hong Kong, it kept on going to Err 70 which bothered me. My 7D is well out-of-warranty but paying 300 HKD (38.65 USD) is a fair price to pay to make sure that everything is operational inside.

Aside from providing excellent service, the interior architecture filled with organic forms is a feast to the eyes, making the experience quite pleasant.
