Sadly this C197 Gullwing Mercedes is not being produced anymore but thankfully its new successor the C190 starts production in Sindelfingen Stuttgart soon. The new C190 successor will compete with the Porsche 911 directly and will lose the distinctive Gullwing doors. AliExpress has helped massively in my ongoing search for new and interesting 1/64 diecast ranges and my latest purchases are by a Chinese company who use the LR initials on their packaging and models. Most appear to be copies of recent Hot Wheels castings but there are also little gems like this Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The quality and finish is akin to a Mattel product with the only real difference is that none of these models are licensed though they all strangely feature the vehicles model name or number designations on the packaging. This one is part of their Speed & Furious range. Mint and boxed.
