The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is a luxury grand tourer automobile developed by Mercedes-AMG to replace the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. The car is the first Mercedes automobile designed in-house by AMG and is described by Mercedes-Benz as a spiritual successor to the Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing.

The SLS (Space Launch System) gantry shortly after sunrise. It was to be the Ares gantry before that project was canceled. Before that, I think it was one of the Mobile Launch Platforms for the Space Shuttle, and before that, the Saturn rockets.

NASA’s mega-Moon rocket with Orion and the European Service Module inside on the launchpad at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA.
While the rocket will propel Orion to supersonic speeds, the rocket itself is moved slowly but securely to the launchpad.
The Space Launch Systems rocket (SLS), with Orion atop it, left the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center at around 23:00 CET (22:00 GMT) on 17 March 2022 to begin its 6.5 km trip to Launchpad LC39B.
The first Artemis mission will send Orion to the Moon and back, farther than any human-rated spacecraft has travelled before. ESA’s European Service Module is the powerhouse that fuels and propels Orion and provides everything needed to keep astronauts alive, including water, oxygen, power and temperature control.
At 100 m tall, the SLS rocket is roughly the height of the Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) in London, UK, or 16 giraffes stacked on top of each other. If you laid the rocket on the ground, it would take over a minute to walk from the engines to the tip of the launch abort system.

Es handelt sich um das erste von AMG eigenständig entwickelte Fahrzeug. Jeder Motor wird von einem einzelnen Arbeiter im AMG-Werk in Affalterbach von Hand zusammengesetzt und mit einer entsprechenden Plakette mit seiner gravierten Unterschrift dokumentiert. Die Montage des Fahrzeugs erfolgt im Mercedes-Benz-Werk Sindelfingen. In der Formel 1 wird der SLS AMG seit der Saison 2010 als Safety Car eingesetzt.
It is the first vehicle developed by AMG. Each engine is assembled by a single worker in the AMG plant in Affalterbach by hand and documented with a corresponding plaque with engraved signature. the Assembly of the vehicle takes place in the Mercedes-Benz plant in Sindelfingen. The SLS AMG is used in formula 1 2010 season as a safety car.

NASA’s Artemis I flight test is the first integrated test of the agency’s deep space exploration systems: the Orion spacecraft, SLS rocket, and supporting ground systems.
ESA’s European Service Module will be powering the Orion spacecraft to our natural satellite and back.
The European Service Module – or ESM – provides for all astronauts’ basic needs, such as water, oxygen, nitrogen, temperature control, power and propulsion. Much like a train engine pulls passenger carriages and supplies power, the European Service Module will take the Orion capsule to its destination and back.
