When the sun shines directly after a thunderstorm, the grey clouds slowly disappear and the freshly washed facades shine in new brilliance, a very special light is created like here.

SLC=Scary Looking Clouds. Lots of tornadic potential with these hail filled clouds that spun and then devoured themselves. It was pretty awesome.

The photo was taken on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 6 p.m.
For me, that meant it was 3 a.m. on Friday morning German time. I got up at 2 a.m. especially for this group photo.
It was my first group photo and I was very excited!
I met some more cheerleaders and had a lot of fun. Of course, it was an extremely long day for me and I had to sleep when I got home from my RL job. SLCS, cheerleading in SL is a lot of fun for me :)

A pair of S&S Leasing switchers shove a cut of stacks onto the lead to UP's Centennial Business Park at the east end of UP's Salt Lake City intermodal facility. The switchers, of Milwaukee Road and MStL heritage, are leased by the contractor that switches the ramp for UP.

A lot of research was put into location scouting for this panoramic prior to leaving for the trip.
Google Maps Streetview is an excellent tool for this.
As it turns out, the empty lot in a residential neighborhood doubles as "inspiration point" for the local youth. I was not as alone as I had hoped...and the only photographer.

Providing one of the most unique combinations in a single train, the 6Q77 stock move approaches Rainhill station heading from Crewe Carriage Sidings to Kirkdale Depot. Hired in to cover for rostered traction, Class 20 locos 20142 and 20189 lead the train west with new Merseyrail Stadler units 777012 and 777016, as Rail Adventure Power Cars 43468 and 43480 tail the rear.
These ladies looked great, cheered spectacular and had a huge arsenal of cheers, affects and great vibes!
