This is a re-edit of a photo I took and posted originally in 2016. I don't make a habit of re-editing old photos, but in this particular case I both really saw a lot of potential in the original shot, and also saw myself squander it in my original post-processing.

And now it's likely been long enough that nobody besides myself remembers the original anyway.

In any case, here it is -- one of my favorite of my own photos, remixed and reposted.

SFO rocks!!!

Another one from the car :)))

Just before we hit this tunnel, the weirdest of things happened...

A deer ran straight across the darn freeway!!!

Straight across..through 8 lanes of moving traffic!!

I was amazed at the fact that there was a deer anywhere even close, since we were smack-dab in the middle of the city.

But the fact that it did not get hit, and just hopped away...dang!!!

To be able to run across a freeway and not get hit?!?

Lol....betchya no human could do that :)))

Amongst many firsts on visiting my son ;)))

Live life to its fullest, y'all

Don't sweat the little things ;)

Ya never know when you'd be forced to make a wild dash across a moving freeway :)))

Have a beautiful day

And thank you so very much for your kindness

A plane trails experiment where shooting started at twilight. Looks like most of the action is on the ground. The twilight did make it easy to get airport details, at the expense of contrast in the sky. The runways were not busy and as you can see most departures were on the left. Framing options were limited due to the lamp post and surrounding trees and houses.

(the good kind of near miss!)

Trying to get one of these rascals to fly through the moon. Not too many chances before the moon rises above the glide-path. Will have to get the next one!

SFO October 1, 2019. Drove around for a while to find a good vantage point of the San Francisco International Airport with full view of the runways 01L and 01R. I don't know much about airports but knew that whenever I fly into SFO, I wasn't landing on these runways so figured these were the ones I want ed to track takeoffs.

Interestingly enough, in my 1.5 hours of shooting here, 3 planes actually taxied the wrong way down the longer runways, 28R and 28L and then U turned and took off down them. I know how other iaports work, but SFO definitely has their work cut out for the air traffic controllers who have to manage perpendicular runways and two way traffic.

Anyway I start shooting around 9:30 and for the first 50 min, no planes took off down the lefthand runway and just as I was about to give up, a tiny plane took off and then started alternating between L and R for 30 min.

I was shooting from the sidewalk in front of a very understanding homeowner 2 miles from the airpot and could still hear the larger planes fire up their engines when they got the green light to take off. IT was a very educational photoshoot albeit boring as hell, and stacking 30 images and editing them was even more boring, considering I rarely edit photos.

Anyway, voila, my most time consuming edit ever. Hope you enjoy.
