studiul mişcării

- mişcarea de rezistenţă -

Doi soldaţi săpau tranşeu

pe un petec de pământ

şi pentru că nu se murea

a mai venit încă unul.

Era povestea pe care bunul

i-o recita zilnic

nepoţelului, eu.

Iar eu învăţam din asta

ca e greu

să mori deja îngropat.

Şi săpam la rându-mi,

pe un petec de pat

vise de rezistenţă.

Până când rezistenţa sărea

şi se lua curentul

în ajun de crăciun

când se dădea

în piaţa romană magiun

iar soldaţii, în cor

tocmai ce-şi astupaseră tranşeele

pe deasupra lor.

USEI e GOSTEI

Koirengei was one of three all-weather airfields along the Imphal-Kohima road in the Imphal valley. It had great strategic importance to the British & Indian troops for receiving supplies and reinforcements during the Battle of Imphal 1944 against the advancing Japanese. Two other all-weather airfields were located at Palel and Tulihal. A further three fair-weather airfields were built on paddy fields at Kangla, Wangjing and Sapam.

PHUKET: Mee Sapam Khun Yai Jean, or หมี่สะปำ คุณยายเจียร in Thai, has been a homely get-together point for Phuket residents and tourists to sample Hokkien noodles and chewy fish balls since 1946. Chinese woman Jean Pupa immigrated from the Hokkien area in China and settled in Sapam village in Phuket. She, alongside many other immigrants from China, decided to open restaurants to serve distinct Hokkien food to tin miners in Phuket Town and Kathu during the tin-mining heyday of the 1950s.

When The Phuket News visited the Koh Kaew branch, Sujit Kuenrom, the daughter of the late Mrs Pupa, was running the restaurant. “This is our 67th year running the restaurant, which is popular because of the quality of our dishes. What customers eat today is the exactly the same recipe that my mother made herself.”

She spoke fondly of her mother: “Khun Jean was a very friendly person and very well known as a good cook in our family. Many of my family members were fishermen during that time, so my mother always had a good selection and high quality seafood for her dishes.” ......

Koh Sirey on the east side of Phuket Town sometimes feels more like a small cape than an island. Covering only about 20sqkm, most of Koh Sirey is delightfully free of construction and driving along its leafy eastside coastal road with its rubber plantations is a pleasure.

Along this coast is an abalone farm that hosts a restaurant with a view out over Phuket’s east coast islands and Sapam Bay. Also, Koh Sirey plays host to sea gypsies and golden Buddhas. The tiny recreation park near a mangrove swamp by the main bridge is where locals feed wild monkeys every evening.

Tranşee în tranşe

De ce săpăm aceste tranşee,

de ce nu lăsăm la duel

pieptul răvăşit de tăiş?

M-a chemat un general la apel

şi mi-a zis.

Noi spintecăm pământu’n tranşee

adânci ascunzişuri de voi

şi de oameni.

Să ne confunde noroi

şi cu suflu tihnit să revină

la a trăi oraşe pe noi,

Pe noi adormiţii.

La un moment dat însă

trezirea la semnalul meu, cu atenţie

vom reîncepe lupta

de-i vom trimite din nou în detenţie

recucerind propriile noastre tranşee.
