My son was helping a friend get the maple sap lines running today. This is not a typical February activity! It usually happens in March. But it was nice to find something vibrant outside. :)

The Yellow-bellied Sapsucker is a woodpecker that specializes in drilling these wells into tree trunks so that they will fill with sap. The woodpecker then enjoys not only the sap that accumulates, but also the insects that are drawn to the sap.

The forgrip of the 'Reaver' slides off to expose a fourth rail. Other types of ammuntion the reaver can fire include; Buckshot, slugs, airburst, and steal penetrators.

Build from the ground up with new age polymers and titainium, the SAP-12 is the worlds first internally supressed .50 caliber sniper rifle. Desighned to replace the aging M107 Barrett 'Light Fifty', the SAP 12 comes in at 17 pounds a full 13 pounds lighter that the M107, and a full 1' 6" shorter. Firing on semi automatic at 120 rounds a minute (When tested by official Sweetwater tester). The SAP-12 is capable of firing standard 12.7mm (.50cal) BMG nato rounds or Sweetaters custom 12mm cartriges with no modification.The round pictured is Sweetwaters Subsonic Explosive Penetrator (SEP) round, capable of putting a 6" hole in a steal reinforced concrete wall at 900 meters. MAV cargos 628324 passes Sap with an engineers train from Puspokladany to Biharkeresztes yard on 28/2/14.
El Sapic es un queso de leche cruda de cabra de pasta blanda y corteza florida, producido por los hermanos Julien y Benjamín Remond, en su “Fromagerie du Pic” situada en Penne, en las gargantas de Aveyron en el departamento de Tarn.
El Sapic se elabora en versión natural o ceniza con carbón vegetal y en forma de árbol de Navidad. El natural posee una corteza, blanca a marfil mientras que en la versión con ceniza su color es grisáceo, es delgada y plisada. Está cubierta con un ligero plumón blanco y está marcada con las estrías de las rejillas en las que los quesos se afinan.
Es un queso suave y untuoso con sabor caprino fresco y dulce, ligeramente salado y acidulado. Sus sabores se intensifican con el tiempo.
¡Debería decorar sus bandejas de quesos para Navidad!
El nombre del queso SAPIC es un acrónimo de "sapin" (árbol) y Pic (el nombre de la quesería).
Chipmunk lapping up tree sap earlier this spring. I had never paid close attention to squirrels and chipmunks gnawing on bark to get sap to flow but for some reason this year I saw so many of them doing this for a brief period. I even managed to get a few photos of this behavior. Sap must be a tasty treat in late winter/early spring!
Watching you walk out of my life hasnt made me bitter or cynical about love , but rather , it has shown me that if i wanted so badly to be with a wrong person , how beautiful it will be when the right one comes along .

The sap is running out of the Red Maple. I tasted it, it's quite tasteless. Apparently, it takes 10 Gallons of Maple Sap to make 1 Quart of Maple Syrup.
