The falls flow over limestone formations amongst trees
On this Laos trip, I finally managed to figure out long exposure with my Sony A7iv... well, my mate told me how to do it in fact! Now I'm beginning to realise the importance of a tripod. Fortunately there was something to rest my camera on for this shot.
Brothers from Sigma Alpha Eta fraternity celebrate their win of Mudbowl. SAE fraternity hosted its annual charity mud-football event, Mudbowl, on Saturday morning, in which members competed against those from Beta Theta Pi fraternity. The game was won by SAE. The event met its goal of $20,000, up from $16,000 last year. The money will be donated both to Mott's Childrens' hospital and to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The half-time show was a short football game in which sororities Kappa Kappa Gamma and Delta Delta Delta competed. Kappa Kappa Gamma won the female football game. (ALLISON GHAMAN/ Daily).

C'est quand même terrible que quand tu trouves un coin de nature à photographier, il y a toujours quelqu'un qui se trouve dans le champ!!! (Cascades de Tad Sae: Luang Prabang/Laos)
The Tad Sae waterfall near Luang Prabang, Laos.
This waterfall has several different levels of cascading tiers falling into pools of green water. Apparently the water level is very seasonal, at its best during the rainy season (which lasts another month or so) but so low it’s not worth visiting in the dry season.
All areas of Tad Sae are open for swimming and the water is surprisingly cold, a perfect break from the heat and humidity. I spent so much time taking photos that I almost missed my chance to swim.
The current church was built in 1820 after the collapse of the old Romanesque church in 1802. From the fortification, there are still ruins of the surrounding wall, a small defense tower and a fortified house which probably was built to store provisions and served as a house of prayer during the construction of the new church.

So a Friend of mine has been telling me about this place that he and his family go to every year to watch the elk rut. I have wanted to get there for a few years, so this year I made it happen, No Excuses. Had to be there.
It started off slow and a long ways off, but by the end, they were walking thru camp and getting close at the golden hour. This was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had in my life.
Worth all it took!
