The Masai giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis tippelskirchii), also spelled Maasai giraffe, also called Kilimanjaro giraffe, is the largest subspecies of giraffe, making it the tallest land animal. It is native to East Africa. The Masai giraffe can be found in central and southern Kenya and in Tanzania. It has distinctive, irregular, jagged, star-like blotches which extend to the hooves. A median lump is usually present in males.

A wonderful short vacation in this great city on the Rhine; which will definitely be repeated!

Looking south over part of Nice with the Mediterranean in the background. It was after 7pm in the evening (despite what that clock face shows) and the sun was going down to the right of the photo.

Camera always with you, spontaneously walked around the edge of the field and found something. Not a perfect picture with optimal sharpness ... but OK as an amateur!

In my recent apartment on the 14th floor, I can have a 180 degree view and I'm taking the time to do new photographic work...I hope you enjoy it!

One of the nature gems of Winter, the ruby red male cardinal that brings a touch of color to a snowy day. 🐦

Thanks for your visit and taking the time to comment so I can visit your photos, too... very much appreciated! Have a great day!🙋‍♀️

Not quite shot into the sun - a little to the left, a gap in the clouds as it was getting low.

It's a time of the year that I've been waiting for, even though we still have very hot days and we have temperatures averaging 35º Celsius.

Happy Fence Friday, my friends!

Standing next to Scrabo Tower at sunset looking SSW to the Mourne Mountains. The tallest peak there in the left is Slieve Donard, at 852m the highest in Northern Ireland. Such a beautiful evening. Cold and crisp and calm. Scrabo hill is the highest point in Newtownards, County Down, Northern Ireland and gives a great viewpoint all around. I love the view over the drumlins in this wider shot than the more zoomed in ones I took - the misty low clouds over Comber hint at the terrain more effectively I think.

Happy Christmas to you and yours!

On July 15, last Saturday, I had the pleasure of accompanying the flight of hot air balloons, coloring the sky of the city of Boituva, 62,1371miles from the capital of São Paulo, Brazil.

Where was the 30th Brazilian Ballooning Championship!
