MLW S4s 7108-7107 prepare to depart the CP yard for the Soo Line on the U. S. side. The Soo Line boxcars on the head end are loads of paper from the Abitibi mill near the waterfront. As far as I know virtually all of Abitibi's production was exported to U. S. customers.

Can't be many of these if any other A4 in this very rare Viper Green colour in the UK! There is a few of them in the USA but they are S4s not A4s!

The Soo Line yard job with GP9 411 sits in the clear as CP S4s 7108-7107 pull in with a transfer from Canada.

Samantha and Tora are eagerly awaiting spring so they can have fun outside, although it is nice that we are finally getting some rain right now!

Samantha DOES have clothing in her own size, but she seems to favor her older sister's stuff like the oversized top that her bigger sisters wear!

Samantha seems to be taking after her sister, Nerilka, in making her own fashion statements and mixing and matching items. She has been wearing the goggles all the time since her last photo shoot and only took them off so she could wear the kitty cat ear wig! LOL

The Lotus Esprit was refreshed for the 1994 model year by Julian Thomson, as the Series 4 Exterior changes included a smaller rear spoiler placed halfway up the rear deck-lid, revised front and rear bumpers, side skirts and valence panels. New five-spoke alloy wheels were also fitted. The taillights from the pre-facelift Toyota AE86 were carried over from the previous generation. The S4's engine had the same power output as the SE at 268 PS

The S4 was complemented in 1994 by the S4 Sport (S4s). The most obvious external change from the S4 was the addition of a rear wing from the Sport 300. The engine was still a 2.2 L 910-series, but with performance-enhancing modifications that included enlarged inlet ports, cylinder head modifications, a re-calibrated ECM and a revised turbocharger, output was increased to 301bhp (305 PS), with a top speed of 168 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 4.6 seconds.

The last iteration of the four-cylinder Esprit was the GT3, a turbocharged, Chargecooled variant with the 2.0 L Type 920 which had previously been used only in Italian market cars.

In 1996 the range was increased with the launch of the Esprit V8

Seen here at Shanklin in July 1975 is 1934 Metro Cammell built DM S4S awaiting it's departure time for Ryde. To the right can be seen the by then disused signal box and loop which was removed four years later. The station remains in Southern green and cream. S4S was to have another 14 years in service on the Island, being withdrawn and returning to the Mainland in September 1989 and immediately transported to Vic Berry of Leicester for scrapping.

Now for a detail shot, a closer look at the shed's siding... fine fitting and pure craftsmanship here! This siding has been here a while and has become a sculpture! Even with the decades of weathering, the traces of saw milling still show. No S4S here; no planers were used on this lumber. Advanced weathering and buffeting has loosened space around the nail heads. It's lucky it was cut from ponderosa from the hills instead of the local cotttonwood. The name "cottonwood" tells all.

We know that this place was an early Hygiene-west area ranch because of a Beaverslide haying rake found one shed over. It's across from the old Shupe homestead along Hygiene Road. West on the county road is an intersection with Foothills Highway and easy access to Lefthand Road and mountain mining camps thus the reason for local haying. Hay in the mountains fed the livestock used for transportation and the mules used for mining industry. This rough-sawn lumber siding on this shed is extraordinary and must be original to the ranch. Large tracts of land were available to ranching along this area south of the St. Vrain river, well before so many gravel pits. Local highways have many "No St. Vrain Mining" signs. Any more gravel mining will remove even more land from production and the tax roles. No big deal, we can plant a lot more people in the valley and feed them with food from somewhere... from somewhere, an industrial plant probably.

There were blank skies near Longmont then so I captured some shots without the sky. This is obviously after the St.Vrain flood rolled through the valley and this shed. I turned north onto 61st and parked at Ronnie's then walked over to the old abandoned Ramey Place. It's clear that the flood really scoured the ground through here. If you look left, you'll find the new roof on the old Boulder County un-Open Space Ramey house as if it had any value. Any gathering sky suits me; I still keep an eye on this place. I will have to go through them and weed out more also-rans.

This looks a lot like the America that Orangemen would like to bring back to America. Wages? Wages have not improved since Ronnie 666 got his massive tax cut for the rich and increased the deficit more than it had been from Washington until then. I worked away at Ramey. I would think that the pastures beyond, (on Boulder unOpen Space Land), would be productive enough to either graze or to mow. It does look brown in the distance but I bet cattle could find the best grasses.
