Im warmen Morgenlicht des 26.07.2021 legt der 4020 308 als S40 21017 nach Wien FJB im Haltepunkt Atzenbrugg einen Halt ein, ehe es für den Triebwagen weiter richtung Tullnerfeld geht.
Um ein vernünftiges Bild eines kultigen ÖBB 4020gers zu erwischen ist eigentlich immer Glück vonnöten. Entweder verziert ein großflächiges Graffiti den Triebwagen oder er verkehrt falsch herum, also mit dem Steuerwagen voraus. An einem schönen Frühlingsvormittag wurde bei Zeiselmauer auf die Triebwagenklassiker gewartet und es sollte sich lohnen. Noch vor dem 309 tauchte der im Schrägdesign gehaltene 4020 312 als S40 21023 (St. Pölten Hbf - Wien Heiligenstadt) auf. Das Bild zeigt ihn ebenfalls beim verlassen der Haltestelle Zeiselmauer-Königstetten.

I think this is the pre-facelift model, which makes it 1995-2000? I don't think there's a way of checking anything on Jersey-registered cars.
It was the Jersey plates that drew my attention to it, and I probably wouldn't have taken photos otherwise. I suppose these are becoming rare now though?
How not to take a train photo. Dark side wires etc. But it was my very first YN2 painted ngine and I couldn't get another angle.

April Challenge Day 5 - Kodak Mini-Instamatic S40
This year I'm using a different film format each month, starting with the smallest and working my way up through the sizes. The format for April is 110, the “Pocket Instamatic” cartridge introduced by Kodak in 1972 and still available today. I've got a lot of 110 cameras, so I've set myself the challenge of using a different one each day of the month. The plan is to shoot 2 or 3 photos with a camera, and then transfer the film to the next one for the next day, making 30 different cameras altogether.

Taken last year, shortly after my brief driving effort - I recently found this, and several others in a forgotten part of my computer!
The picture above shows another Flickr member about to coax the Beast of Cheshire into action during its short invasion of Yorkshire last year.
Gardner 180 powered and (IIRC) last taxed in 1999, the S40 is an all too rare beast these days.
