handy S4 phone when the cameras at home!

Rigby Yard in Portland, Maine was home to Alco switchers from home-road Portland Terminal, as well as from parents Maine Central and Boston & Maine. Here a Maine Central S4 idles near the yard office, where releases to photograph on the property were readily available.

The only diesel that New Jersey short line Morristown & Erie ever bought new from the builder was S4 number 14. Here the 32-yrar-old Alco is winding down its career in this 1984 view at Morristown.

Das Duo hat zum Zeitpunkt des Bildes soeben den anschließenden Weichenbereich des Ausfahrsignals im Bahnhof Niederhöchstadt Richtung Kronberg-Süd passiert.
