The S2000 was launched in 1999 to mark Honda's 50th anniversary. The car shares no components with any other Honda model and was produced in limited numbers - a maximum of 12.000 units a year - until 2009. Since the engine is positioned entirely behind the front axle, it qualifies as a front mid-engine sports car. The naturally aspirated engine delivers a specific output of 120 hp per liter, which is quite rare. This performance is partly achieved thanks to the VTEC system (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control). The featured car includes some unique options, such as additional spoilers and the "Lime Green Pearl" paint color.
