Who said it is impossible to have fun those days ? I learned to make this paper boat and then I sent Little Bear on an expedition. Poor Little Bear , he does not have oars to help him to navigate on this unknown river.... What will happen to him ? BTW he still did not taste the honey he wanted to taste! And the Rubik 's cube is unsolved!
Qui a dit qu'il était impossible de s'amuser ces jours-çi? J'ai appris à fabriquer ce bateau en papier, puis j'ai envoyé Petit Ours en expédition. Pauvre Petit Ours, il n'a pas de rames pour l'aider à naviguer sur cette rivière inconnue ... Que va-t-il lui arriver? en passant il n'a toujours pas gouté au pot de miel qu'il voulait bien gouter..et le cube Rubik est resté inachevé...pas assez de temps pour tout faire !

Varanasi (Inde) - Chaque année, les rives du Gange sont fréquentées par des millions de pèlerins. Tout hindou qui se respecte doit venir se baigner et prier dans le fleuve sacré. Le nec plus ultra est de mourir ici, de s’y faire incinérer et voir ses cendres dispersées dans les eaux du Gange.
A l’issue d’un circuit compliqué de pèlerinages dans toutes les villes sacrées de l’Inde, si on s’est bien comporté tout au long de sa vie, rendre son dernier souffle à Varanasi, peut mettre un terme au cycle infernal des réincarnations.
Ces jeunes pèlerins sur la photos ne songent pas encore à rendre l’âme. Pour l’instant, ils se contentent de s’amuser. Et ils ont bien raison.
A dip in the sacred river

Déjà féroces!
Et bien non, ce n'est que du jeu. Ils ne font que s'amuser. Se mordillant joyeusement, et parfois même ardemment. Cette séance avait débuté par l’arrivée soudaine du père à la toute fin du jour. En plusieurs journées d’observation, je ne l’avais pas encore vu venir sur le plateau près du terrier passer du temps avec ses petits. Dès son arrivée, ses rejetons se sont animés et se sont avancés comme jamais, se laissant mordiller par ce parent et utilisant tout l'espace disponible pour courir et se quereller tendrement. Même la femelle, alors tout enjouée, est venue vers son mâle, le mordillant à son tour, avant que nous la voyions quitter, pour se reposer peut-être ou encore chasser, laissant ce père surveiller et se charger de sa marmaille. Pendant que le soleil se couchait, les petits couraient, se chamaillaient, osant même défier leur père de leurs minuscules crocs, tout en continuant de sauter les uns sur les autres, passant devant nos lentilles entre l'ombre et la lumière. Et oui, ils semblent bien féroces ces petits s'amusant que dans le plaisir!

Already fierce!
Well, not really—it’s all just play. They’re simply having fun, gently nipping at each other with joy, and sometimes even a bit more intensely. This particular session began with the sudden arrival of the father, right at the end of the day. After many days of observing, I had yet to see him come onto the clearing near the den to spend time with his little ones. As soon as he showed up, his kits came alive, moving forward more boldly than ever, letting him nibble at them while using every inch of space to run and play-fight tenderly. Even the female, clearly in high spirits, came over to greet her mate, giving him a few playful nips before we saw her head off—perhaps to rest or maybe to hunt—leaving the father in charge of minding their lively brood.
As the sun set, the little ones ran, tumbled, and wrestled, even daring to challenge their father with their tiny teeth, all while leaping over one another and darting through the shifting light and shadows in front of our lenses. And yes, they do look fierce—these little ones, caught up in the pure joy of play!

Gibt es einen besseren Platz als ein Museum um etwas Quatsch zu machen... Wohl nicht! Die Ernsthaftigkeit der erwachsenen Besucher sucht wohl seinen Gegenpol. Sie haben es nicht wirklich übertrieben, aber der nette Herr von der Security hat kindlich amüsiert seine Kreise mit ihnen gezogen.
Is there a better place than a museum to romp around a little? Probably not! The seriousness of the adult visitors seems to be looking for a counterbalance. They didn't really overdo it, but the nice man from security was making circles with them in a childishly amused way.
Quel meilleur endroit qu’un musée pour s’amuser ? Probablement pas! Le sérieux des visiteurs adultes cherche probablement sa contrepartie. Ils ne faisaient pas grand-chose, mais le gardien amical les accompagnait constamment avec une joie enfantine.
¿¿Qué mejor lugar que un museo para divertirse?? ¡Probablemente no! La seriedad de los visitantes adultos probablemente busca su contraparte. No hicieron mucho, pero el amigable guardia los acompañaba constantemente con alegría infantil.

la trouée verte se situe en plein centre de Nice Un poumon vert de 12 hectares en plein cœur de la ville. beaucoup de gens s’y pressent, pour flâner dans les allées, jouer sur le miroir d’eau et admirer les jets d’eau dans un écrin de verdure., le miroir d’eau. s’anime régulièrement de jets d’eau entre lesquels on peut déambuler (presque) sans se mouiller

There was a lot of extras who seemed to have fun.

We endured a rare ice storm a few days ago, coating everything with a shiny layer which endures due to lack of thawing temps. It is really quite a spectacle...though it also took out my power and my phone for a while, and the area is littered with branches unable to bend under the weight.
If you enlarge, you'll see the perfect formation of icicles on my deck railing. I must say it's amusing to see so many of you posting your initial garden blooms while I peer our my window at this...

Jour de fête
Varanasi (Inde) - Les enfants du bidonville de La Kharbuza sont surexcités. L’équipe médicale d’Action Bénarès leur offre une journée dans un parc d’attraction situé à une quinzaine de kilomètres. Certains s’apprêtent à sortir du bidonville pour la première fois.
Malgré de manque d’argent Action Bénarès souhaite maintenir cette sortie deux ou trois fois par an.
Au-delà de l’aide médicale gratuite l’équipe estime que ce genre d’activité agit comme un ressort positif sur la santé physique en mentale des enfants.
La vente du livre dont sont issue ces images a permis de renouveler cette sortie du bidonville à deux reprises. Mais la pandémie a mis un coup de frein à cette action. Selon les contacts que j’entretiens avec les soignants sur place, les enfants demandent régulièrement quand ils pourront, retourner s’amuser dans le parc de loisirs ? Et si un jour, le « journaliste français » reviendra les photographier ? Moi aussi, ils me manquent.

Celebration day
Varanasi (India) - Children in the slum of La Kharbuza are overexcited. The Action Bénarès medical team offers them a day in an amusement park located about fifteen kilometers away. Some are getting ready to leave the slum for the first time.
Despite the lack of funds, Action Bénarès wishes to maintain this outing two or three times a year. Beyond free medical help, the team believes that this kind of activity acts as a positive spring on the physical and mental health of children.
The sale of the book from which these images came has made it possible to renew this exit from the slum on two occasions. But the pandemic has put the brakes on this action. According to the regular contacts that I have with the caregivers on site, the children regularly ask when they can go back to the amusement park? What if one day the “French journalist” will come back to photograph them? I miss them too.

Les Marches Folkloriques de l'Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse trouvent leurs origines dans les processions de croix banales du moyen-âge. Celles-ci avaient lieu dans l'octave de la Pentecôte et étaient destinées à rendre hommage et à permettre de verser l'obole à l'abbaye suzeraine voisine dont dépendait le clergé.
L'escorte militaire qui les accompagnait avait pour but d'en rehausser l'éclat mais aussi de préserver les pèlerins contre les bandes de malfrats qui rôdaient à cette époque dans nos contrées. Ces compagnies spéciales d'archers et arbalétriers que l'on appelait "serments" furent les ancêtres des marcheurs.
C'est dans le courant du XVIII siècle qu'une crise importante frappa nos Marches car de plus en plus ces cérémonies devenaient un prétexte pour s'amuser et tourner le religieux en dérision, ce qui ne plut pas au clergé qui interdit ces manifestations.
Les coutumes reprendront en 1802 après le concordat signé entre Napoléon Ier et le Pape Pie VII. C'est à ce moment que les Marches prirent un nouvel essor et devinrent des escortes militaires.
En ce qui concerne les costumes adoptés dans nos manifestations aujourd'hui, ils sont du premier et du second empire. A ce sujet, il est certain que l'on a d'abord marché en premier empire car de nombreuses défroques de l'armée de Napoléon étaient disponibles dans nos régions. Ces uniformes se dégradant, nos Marcheurs ont adoptés les costumes militaires de l'époque qui a immédiatement suivi, c'est-à-dire les uniformes que l'on appelle du second empire.
Bien que l’aspect religieux ne semble pas prépondérant, il s’agit quand même d’une procession religieuse avec sortie de la châsse et des saints patrons, bénédictions, messe, …
L’un des moments les plus forts de la Saint Hubert, c’est le fameux bataillon carré. Un moment solennel, plein de tradition et avec un déroulement codifié et immuable. Il commence par une revue des troupes, suivie de décharges et de feux roulants.

Al atardecer, (en Vietnam anochece temprano) en este parque encantador que cuenta con numerosas esculturas
comtemporaneas y proyectos de escultura -instalación interactiva. El árbol con lampiones tiene un toque muy evocativo y poético. En su tronco se encuentra una escultura, creo que hecha en resina. Representa un personaje humanizado pero que al mismo tiempo es un tronco. Simpático y humorístico los niños disfrutan mucho sentadose en este Tronco-personaje -escultura y jugando alrededor.

At sunset, (in Vietnam early evening) in this lovely park that has numerous sculptures
comtemporaneas and sculpture projects - interactive installation. The tree with lampions has a very evocative and poetic touch. On its trunk is a sculpture, I think made in resin. It represents a humanized character but at the same time it is a trunk. Friendly and humorous children enjoy sitting in this Trunk-character-sculpture and playing around.

Au coucher du soleil, (au Vietnam al fin de soirée) dans ce charmant parc aux nombreuses sculptures
Comtemporaneas et projets de sculpture - installation interactive. L'arbre aux lampions a une touche très évocatrice et poétique. Sur son tronc est une sculpture, je pense faite en résine. Il représente un personnage humanisé mais en même temps, c'est un tronc. Les enfants sympathiques et pleins d'humour aiment s'asseoir dans cette sculpture et s'amuser atour .
Nota; la RAE considera lampión y lampiones, nombre, en desuso. Por tanto a mi me parece que llamarles linternas o Lámparas, no tiene mucho sentido.
