I'm sure everyone knows by now that I love finding old homes and old barns, so it's no surprise that this beautiful rural home is one of my favorites of 2021. It seemed to be surrounded by a quiet peacefulness that I found charming.

Treated to some great light in the late Afternoon when I captured this image of the sun casting shadows over the rolling hills.
No travel, no lakes, no mountains... That's the surrounding rural area where I live: farmhouse, poultry, abandoned farmhouse, trees, endless fields... It is not lazy, bored, or unmotivated, the mileage putting on my car was pretty high for the past winter, too much wandering for nothing... that's kind of stuff I have - with sky and a peace! ;))
Деревянную шатровую церковь, освящённую в честь Успения Богородицы, из деревни Курицко, что на берегу озера Ильмень, можно увидеть в Музее деревянного зодчества, в Великом Новгороде. Дату постройки церкви – 1595 год – удалось определить благодаря проведённому дендрохронологическому анализу. В облике древнего храма несложно найти основные черты русских православных деревянных церквей XVI – XVIII веков. Прямоугольный сруб лежит в основе нижней части постройки, на нём прочно стоит восьмерик с шатром высотой семнадцать метров. Венчает конструкцию небольшая глава в форме луковки.
Snowing two days in a row, good workout shoveling snow on the driveway, also made me itchy feet to wander the rural area. Three hours driving along the surrounding countryside roads, stopping for photographing, the farmland, river, bridge… The blowing snow hit the face and lens, questioning myself, why not cuddling next to the fireplace with the drink in one hand and a book in the other hand while listening to the music… 😉

There are many classic compositions to be had atop the great ridge above Hope valley, but there are also more intimate ones to be had actually in the valley itself. With an inversion in the valley on arrival we shot the obvious images before moving onto the less obvious, I just loved how this small farmhouse at the end of a winding lane looked so much of another era.
Taitung County, Taiwan.
Taitung County is the third largest county in Taiwan, located primarily on the island's southeastern coast and also including Green Island, Orchid Island and Lesser Orchid Island.
While its name means "Eastern Taiwan", it is also known as "Houshan" by many of the locals, meaning behind the mountains or the back mountains.
