On my trip to Ohio, I had the pleasure of visiting a private garden, the owner also the owner of a local nursery. Although some of the garden was still under renovation, I was able to pull a few shots.
This is a Ruby Red Daylily. Shot bouncing light from an XLF-50 into a litedisc.

A tiny heart with exceptional detail placed within a miniature jar. All components are worked by hand from glass.
The height is approximately 1 3/4".
"Pomegranates are small deciduous, semi-hardy trees or large shrubs. The fruit is globular to oblate up to 4 inches diameter, with the calyx persistent at the terminal, even in the ripe fruits. The outer rind is smooth and rather thin. Within, the fruit is filled with seeds, each imbedded in juicy pulp, and this pulp is commonly the edible portion. Seeds and pulp may be scooped out and pressed for juice, or the pulp and seeds may be separated in the mouth. The rind, boiled, has long been used as a remedy for tapeworm. The plant is highly ornamental, both in flower and fruit, and is found in many southern gardens, and also as a potted plant."

Hope everyone had a good Wednesday. The weather was nicer today- less humid & not as hot- of course I was working but will have a nice walk tonight.
Prating for sweet eaglet Snow. Also- please pray for Shanti (white tiger) - just saw a post from the zoo she's being treated for chronic kidney disease. I was wondering why she hasn't been out much in recent weeks. She's a beautiful girl. I', posting a pic from 5/17 when I saw her last.
On another note, the Peanuts' new fave place to sleep and relax is RubyRed's big pink floofy bed! So glad I kept it- I haven't seen all 3 in it but I suspect they might be at times. When I got up this morning Lucy and Charlie were snuggles, tonight Linus & Charlie. I love my Peanuts kids and am thankful they are all besties again.

This is my First ever Photographic commission. It was an order from my wife Mags :)
It was her Christmas present done on canvas size 1200mm X 900mm. I have just finished hanging it on our Lounge-room wall and happily she likes it! Phew :)
Dark Ruby Red is her favorite Frangipani colour.

Mientras que su pariente el barrancolí picofino prefiere las zonas altas, el barrancolí picogrueso prefiere los hábitats de bosque de montaña muy húmedo a más baja altitud, entre los 435 y 1.700 msnm. Para anidar, excava túneles en los taludes fluviales como un martín pescador.

The Broad-billed Tody (Todus subulatus) is one of the two species of tody native to the island of Hispaniola. It can be identified by its small size, stubby beak, ruby-red throat, and green back.
While its close relative, the Narrow-billed Tody is more prevalent in the higher altitude areas, the Broad-billed Tody prefers lower altitude habitats. To nest, it digs into a river bank, similar to a kingfisher.
The Broad-billed Tody is evaluated as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
