Sometimes I crack myself up.. After watching all the commercials for the latest miracle drugs on the market, with their mile-long list of possible side-effects - and having read the label carefully, not wanting to harm the little buggers - I couldn't help but laugh out loud when I looked at the effect that the light had on this one as he sat in the glow from the feeder...

I had just been musing to myself about the fact that although these hummingbirds have the beautiful iridescent green backs, they don't have the ruby throats that one might expect. I don't know if that's a mating season only thing, or if these are a slightly different species..
