Die Villa Roth, auch Schloss Grundlsee genannt, befindet sich am Ortsrand von Gössl am Grundlsee. Im 19. Jahrhundert von dem Wiener Jean Roth als Jagdschloss erbaut, urlaubten dort auch bekannte Persönlichkeiten wie das Schauspieler-Ehepaar Attila Hörbiger und PaulaWessely, aber auch der NS-Propagandaminister Joseph Goebbels. Heute befindet sich das Schloss in Privatbesitz und kann nicht besichtigt werden.
Die Gebirgsgruppe Totes Gebirge mit dem Backenstein, dem Häuslkogel, dem Reichenstein und dem Siniweler bildet eine wunderschöne Kulisse für diese Villa.

Villa Roth, also known as Schloss Grundlsee, is located on the outskirts of Gössl on Lake Grundlsee. Built as a hunting lodge by the Viennese Jean Roth in the 19th century, famous personalities such as the actor couple Attila Hörbiger and Paula Wessely and also the Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels spent their holidays there. Today, the castle is privately owned and cannot be visited.
The mountain group Totes Gebirge with the Backenstein, Häuslkogel, Reichenstein and Siniweler provide a wonderful backdrop for this villa.

By contemporary standards, this locomotive was a monster.
