ZZ Top's founder, vocalist and guitarist Billy Gibbons at the Harrah's Stir Cove on September 17, 2021.
I was told to shooting from the photo pit, however the band changed their mind at the last minute and wanted us to shoot from the crowd, which it sucked, but the show was awesome.

Strobist info: This photo inspired by David Hobby's photo. Sunpak 433D at 1/4 power (held by one of them) bounced into magazine and reflected back to them. Snooted SB800 at 1/8 power aimed at magazine cover.
I went down to Full Sail University in Orlando, FL (actually Winter Park) where Rise Phoenix Rise was recording and snuck in a couple hours to set up and do a couple band promo photos for them. This was taken at 0'dark-thirty inside the bus.

This portrait is exclusively made with "flat circles" on a black background (please also see some details and the making). It took me some 9 days of intense work. I first made a photomontage using several references, then a digital painting and I finally applied my "digital circlist" technique (I placed each circle one by one, there is no automatic process). Every circle has a different color, a different tone and a different size. It's a time consuming method.
I wanted this image to reflect Eminem's personality. He may be a controversial and provocative singer, I think he's an extremely clever and interesting person, he always comes up with some completely amazing stuff, with new, powerful and unexpected lyrics and melodies. He is a talented poet of modern times.
More facts about Eminem:
Marshall Bruce Mathers III (born in 1972), better known by his stage name Eminem, is an American rapper, record producer, and actor. Eminem quickly gained popularity in 1999 with his major-label debut album, The Slim Shady LP, which won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. The following album, The Marshall Mathers LP, became the fastest-selling solo album in United States history. It brought Eminem increased popularity, including his own record label, Shady Records, and brought his group project, D12, to mainstream recognition.
In 2005, Eminem was ranked 79th on the VH1 100 Greatest Artists of All-Time. He was ranked 82nd on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. He was also named the Best Rapper Alive by Vibe magazine in 2008. Including his work with D12, Eminem has achieved nine No. 1 albums on the Billboard Top 200, 7 solo and 2 with D12. Eminem has scored over 1 billion views on his official Vevo page on Youtube. Eminem is the most popular person ever on Facebook with over 30 million likes. Read more.

Smartly turned out SWT 159020 leads 159004 on the Frome avoiding line with the 1Z62 Westbury to Bishops Lydiard portion of UK Railtour's 'The Lorna Doone' which originated at London Waterloo and was bound for West Somerset Railway. Multiple units were at the time unusual on the Frome avoider, SWT 159s even rarer so nice to see.
Lorna Doone is a romance novel set in the late 17th century in Devon and Somerset, particularly around Exmoor and was written by author Richard Doddridge Blackmore, a fine novelist I'm sure but not to be confused with the God-like-Genius Richard (Ritchie) Hugh Blackmore of Deep Purple and Rainbow (no, not the one with Bungle, Zippy and George) fame.
Weston-super-Mare-born Ritchie it was that developed the (now) instantly-recognisable (to all true music fans and air-guitar aficionados everywhere) riff in a four-note blues scale melody in G minor, harmonised in parallel fourths (of course, what else?, right?). In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine* placed "Smoke on the Water" number 434 on its list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time". Total Guitar magazine ranked the song's riff number 4 on its "Greatest Guitar Riffs Ever" list, and in March 2005, Q magazine placed it at number 12 in its list of the 100 greatest guitar tracks.
*Sadly, Rolling Stone Magazine, after their shocking and mis-guided attempt at a "Greatest Guitar players" list in 2023 (more like "who the hell is that??" list, no Moore, Trower, Malmsteen, Petrucci and Clapton down at no.35??!) can no longer be regarded as a reliable touchstone for 6-string proficiency or legacy, bloody hipsters.
Special thanks to my good friend Scud aka Privatenobby, his wonderful mother Oddy, and his beautiful actress girlfriend karen aka k.l.u.m!
This was shot today. And it all started here a few days ago. And then inspiration struck. And then we were planning it for days online. And conveniently scud and his girlfriend were due to pop down this weekend, so it all kinda worked out well!
WARNING: please do not think that there are things going on. Scud is a good good friend I have kept in touch with since high school. He has links with me to get hello kitty freebies. I have links with him to get technical support. There is nothing to it. Platonic friendship only! (just saying because my family will assume otherwise!)
//About the photo: Scud is actually wearing a thong but he insisted I clone it out. The dark patch was especially hard. haha. And his leg was so heavy. And the heavy breathing in my ear! Had to take a few test shots (thanks oddy for being my human tripod) and then finally shot it with my remote control! Well anyway. Fun photoshoot. All this for the sake of photography eh? haha...

lol I thought the title was amusing. You don't have to find it amusing, but I do and that's all that matters.
I just read the article about Megan Fox that was in Rolling Stone Magazine, and basically from that article alone I couldn't look up to anybody more. She has morals, and self doubt and is just a normal girl/woman. So many starlets don't have any self control, and once they know everybody wants them, they let as many of their suitors have them as possible. Megan Fox isn't like that. I really want to meet her, she is a really amazing woman.
Like ta' Rock that favorite quote from JimiHendrix: "When the Power of LOVE overcomes the Love of POWER, the world will know peace." Yop... (peace)... *T.M.NOEL/ ANGRYHOUZE/ Tha-God-of-DRAW!

Right after the Miami concert Rolling Stone magazine created and published this on it's cover. Jim Morrison technically had an arrest warrant issued days after the show but was never really wanted in the fugitive sense (he turned himself in a few days after the show). But this image sold a lot of magazine copies and helped publicize the Miami concert even further.
This one seems to keep popping up every so often, even though the photo was from years earlier in Morrison's career and didn't fit at all the way he looked by the time the Doors played Miami.
Most recently this poster had the words "Full Pardon" put across it to tie in with a movement to get Jim Morrison a posthumous pardon for his Miami Incident convictions.
UPDATE: December 9, 2010 Jim Morrison was pardoned by Florida Governor Charlie Crist
