This Australian Army road train was parked in Chinchilla while the driver checked the load and had a break.

I really got caught this time...drenched...just to take some Sunday photographs.
Probably the only one in existence. a Electric Jag.
a Nissan leaf power plant was pro fitted with all components to bring this car to modern day standards 180-mile range which is more a tank of petrol would get.
Its beautifully restored and a pride to own.

Produced from 1963 to 1968, the Jaguar S-Type was a technically more sophisticated development of the Jaguar Mk. II, offering buyers a more luxurious alternative. It was available with either 3.4 or 3.8 litre XK engines and featured longer rear bodywork among other styling and interior changes. Despite its extra weight, the S-Type's independent rear suspension allowed it to corner faster than the Mk. II, especially on uneven surfaces, providing better traction and a much smoother ride for rear seat passengers with the consensus that the S-Type offered significant improvements over the Mk. II in road holding, safety and ride comfort. Described as "a convenient family car, a businessman's express, a sports coupé and a grand tourer.” This lovely 1968 S-Type is presented in white with contrasting deep blue leather interior. With a genuine 69,000 miles recorded, it is offered with a Jaguar Heritage certificate and accompanied by over £8,000 of bills including a £2,500 engine re-build of its highly desirable 3.8 litre engine mated to a manual with overdrive gearbox. From the extensive history file, it is clear that between 1996 and 1999 the meticulous owner spent vast sums of money and a great deal of time on this S-Type ensuring all components were as they should be. Amongst the voluminous pile of documents are entrances to classic car rallies and car shows; testament to the care and enthusiasm throughout his ownership. The car also comes with the original tool kit, operating, maintenance and servicing handbooks and service history from its original sale in 1968 to 1970. In the last 17 years, this example has covered less than 2,000 miles and has had its cylinder heads modified to run on unleaded fuel. The paintwork would benefit from some tlc but overall this is a lovely S-Type which has had much care and attention lavished on it and to drive it is a treat.
The Sd.Kfz. 251 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 251) was a World War II German half-tracked armoured personnel carrier. Designed by the Hanomag company to transport the Panzergrenadier (German mechanized infantry) into battle, the Sd.Kfz. 251 was based on its earlier unarmored Sd.Kfz. 11 vehicle. Sd.Kfz. 251s were the most widely produced German half-tracks of the war, with at least 15,252 vehicles and variants produced by seven manufacturers. The utility of this vehicle led the German Army to develop the similar looking but shorter and lighter Sd.Kfz. 250 as a supplement.
I came upon this empty road train stopped in western Queensland, it had blown a tyre on the middle trailer and the driver was changing the wheel. You can see the driver changing the wheel if you view the shot full sized; just press the L key.
This photograph captures a Sturmgeschütz III assault gun in a reenactment, with costumed soldiers operating the vehicle in a rural setting. The StuG III was a fully tracked German armored fighting vehicle produced during World War II and widely used by the Wehrmacht.
It's mid May 2022, the sun is out and birds are singing and spring is giving way to summer across Lincolnshire. This was to be another good summer, and the one where the UK finally hit record breaking temperatures of more than 40°c
