Elmo was my sisters cat. Today he passed the rainbow bridge. He was suffering from FIP, which is lethal.
He didn't make it till his first birthday.
Loss it can break you in half.
The magnitude of LOSS can be life lasting and maddening.
Today would have been my sister Jen's 37th birthday.
A drunk driver took so much from her...and life was not fair to her after that. How she struggled with all of the destruction and devastation to her body, I can't begin to understand.
I have heard the phrase "in a better place now", That might be true for her. Selfishly I would prefer to have her here.
Knowing you are truly loved is a gift, very few times in my life have I felt that someone truly loved me. The day my sister died I lost one of those people.
I think of Jen when I see beautiful things, esp sunsets/sunrises.
In honor of my sister, I ask each and every one of you please never drink and drive.

I remember holding you as a baby. I became a big brother the day you came into this world.
6 years today you left us, it feels like yesterday. The sun doesn't shine as bright anymore.
I don't feel like a big brother....
All the wishes and tears haven't brought you back.

RIP Täystuho (translates to Complete Destruction). My fellow companion for 15 years. She and I felt her work was done after seeing the pandemic spread.

Today my heart is torn. Heaven has one more angel. I am losing a friend, a confidante, a partner in crime. You brought me a lot and I will never have the words to thank you. you were and will remain someone who matters to me. I keep you in my heart. I will miss your laughter and our giggles terribly.

To my longtime Flickr friend KV, affectionately dubbed by me because he was the king of the mountains. He truly was one of the most fearless and amazing adventurers I've ever known. He always called me QB which stood for queen of the beaches - so here is my tribute to you KV, I'll miss you. My sincerest and deepest condolences go to his beautiful wife and 2 children x

Jack The ripper was one, or possibly several, serial killers who, between August and November 1888, murdered a number of women who spent the night on prostitution in the East End, London. The police never officially resolved the cases. The number of victims Jack the ripper murdered is unknown.

Today is a very sad day. Queen Elizabeth II who has ruled for the whole of my life, and who, at the age of 21, dedicated her life to serving her country has died aged 96, still serving her country up to the end. RIP

Looking back through one of my HDD to this time last year, I found this photo. Gee I miss this icon when I go out shooting sunrises at the Sunshine Coast. Wish she was still with us.
